I didn't find anything new that is exciting or photo worthy this evening so I'll share something I just realised I forgot to share the other day.

I posted a photo a little while ago of my yellow zucchini that were coming along nicely. Well, this first photo is what I discovered had happened to my lovely yellow zucchini upon inspection a couple of days ago... all gobbled up by a mouse 🐭, the same mouse that has been the perpetrator of many a bulb gobbling crime already this year.

The second photo is me proving how much of a ridiculous fool I am, all because I can't resist a cute little creature, by feeding the same mouse offender cheese!! 🤣🤣 (He/she is super cute though!)

They breed though @beautyisfoundwithin.

So cute @beautyisfoundwithin I am a right softy as well. I've had lasting friendships with caterpillars despite the fact they're scoffing my plants. I also chat with our resident bumble bees and ladybirds daily.
I said 'Oh hello mate!' to a bee I passed in the street the other day. I need to get out more.

I am such an introvert. My Y6 son had his primary leavers disco last night. I had to sit for 3h and forcably socialise. On the same night my Y11 daughter had her prom, so I had to socialise earlier evening too at her drop off.

I so 💚 my garden.

After 5h plus of socialising yesterday I have quite literally just put headphones on and pottered in my garden alone today, to recharge in solitude, while my DH gave me space from our children to replenish my batteries.

I love green space and solitude.

Wild carrot. Something I've never grown before but will definitely grow again. I've got this in a bed with borage and achillea.

@beautyisfoundwithin...! Feeding the enemy...you ARE a soft touch, woman! That zucchini looks like how on cartoons they show someone has eaten corn on the cob...all in a long row...chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp....you'd better hope little Mickey mouse is a selfish only child and doesn't spread the word "Hey Gang! Fresh zucchini being served up at beauty's 😂

@FATEdestiny your garden is the perfect place to recharge your batteries...I'm an introvert also.... I completely understand...socialising is draining for us...my mum is the exact opposite...she GAINS energy from socialising! Kind DH, you have! Good mum to go to the activities!

I really am such a soft touch, even though logically I know it's ridiculous! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I even stopped using beer traps for slugs, even though they were working well, because a mouse and a frog accidentally drowned! Silly fool I am 😂

You're not the only one @CheerfulBunny, I chat with the butterflies and dragonflies all the time!

@Sweetpea1532 I said the exact same thing to DH about cartoon corn on the cob!! That is what it looks like! He/she also took one tiny bite out of every single one of my radishes! But just one chomp and no more, like it was just to try them all! 😂 (and yet I'm STILL feeding the little vegetable gobbler - I think my head needs a wobble!!)

One good thing about rodents though...here they eat snails!

I have just been out putting eggshells down.
Snails don’t like them.

@FATEdestiny So jealous of those hosta's, absolutely spectacular. Mine get shredded overnight, so I've given up.

I thought I'd share is Red Admiral pic I took yesterday on the patio and also my allium which I am head over heels with she's so lovely. I just hope I can keep her going!

Ha I'm glad I'm not alone - I spent £30 on a beautiful gold flame honeysuckle which my leaf cutter bees are using for their homes in the bee hotel, I actively encourage them because I want them to be snug and safe 😂

My contributions for today are Ammi Visnaga which is finally flowering, Bergamot, which I always think looks slightly ridiculous, like a cartoon flower 😂.

And our very first tomatoes of the year, a variety called Vittoria which is so sweet and delicious. I've just eaten my first of 2021 🍅 I never get sick of tomatoes unlike some other veg we grow (looking at you courgettes 😳😂)

Just keeping our fingers crossed than nothing goes wrong @AnneKipankitoo 🙈. We have already had two properties fall through so hopefully it's third time lucky! This is by far the nicest of the houses though, (and most definitely the nicest garden!!) so I'm thinking sometimes things happen for a reason 😊

Your photos looks so happy! One of my favourite essential oils is bergamot....does the actual flower smell as sweet? Those tomatoes look delicious.....Hahahalol! It seems courgettes have the same reputation when grown here...so prolific that you have tò almost pay people to take some...friends see you coming toward them after awhile with more courgettes and run the other way....
