@Noflora what is that stunning orange flower? Just gorgeous 😍

catwithflowers · 11/08/2020 05:35

Is it crocosmia? Just looking at the ones in the background.

Noflora · 11/08/2020 10:06

cat Crocosmia Emily McKenzie, it is a bit different and I love it.

DDemelza · 11/08/2020 13:07

waltzingparrot · 11/08/2020 13:49

Beautiful plants, flowers, butterflies, cats, dogs... frog!
I took some pictures around the garden today
Roses, geraniums, Allium, Japanese anemones. Probably a lot of weeds visible in the pictures also, but I'm sitting in the sun and can't quite see on my phone. Willing to take the risk 😂

Yes DDemelza she is a 10 year old Golden. Love her to bits ❤️🐾

@waltzingparrot That's a beautiful clematis and really unusual.

How beautiful and unusual, Rookie.

Cat, goldens are among the very loveliest breeds. Just the loveliest temperaments, and so beautiful.

Two newly planted /replanted planters, and a rose canoodling with a marigold.

Lol, that rose does really look like it's intending something illicit GrinGrinGrin

Rookiegardener · 12/08/2020 10:35

The rose canoodling GrinGrin

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 12/08/2020 12:32

Beautiful roses & Clematis.
And yes, that rose does appear to be making moves 😂

This is my 'Wild Edric' rose today. I think it is simply divine, and the scent is heavenly Shock
The thorns are a b*tch though, be warned!

Overgrown roses, geranium, grass and anemones.

That pompom dahlia is deep dark burgandy red, how can a (real) camera get the true colour does anyone know?

AnneKipanki · 12/08/2020 14:59

Not sure . Try taking it in evening light or no sun .

AnneKipanki · 12/08/2020 15:04

That is a lovely soft green leaf colour on that rose @Rookiegardener.
Trying to add photo but app or phone desktop not letting me.

The pompom dahlia is stunning noflora. I have no idea what the rose is, I was gifted it by my neighbour. Standard Tesco/Sainsbury's buy if I recall

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 12/08/2020 17:07

Beautiful @Noflora

I don't know, but on phone, I just tap the screen and it adjusts, or is there an icon of a sun? Try tapping that. It's a tricky colour. Of just google it, and the name of the camera

Noflora · 12/08/2020 17:16

I wanted to be able to tell my husband how to do it, he took the pic. If anybody is googling it'll be him. He has a fancy camera and doesn't use auto settings (they're worse at these colours) , this was morning before the sun got to it, trying to avoid bleaching. I wanted to sound all knowledgable about apertures, exposures etc Grin Thanks

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 12/08/2020 19:07

Not a clue about cameras... I'm barely competent with a phone Grin

Today's pics, agapanthus, dahlias and some petunias Smile
