Goooorgeous garden, moss. 😍😍😍

Obligatory rose pics, so I don't get booted off the thread. (My Arthur Bell rose from yougarden, brightening up a north-facing fence.)

Ddemelza, the yellow on that rose is just perfection, such a great colour.

Feeling envious of other people’s lilies, I bought an on sale pot at the garden centre and they look and smell amazing. Also, a daisy, which is a much under rated flower I think

That's such an unusual rose colouration @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet - love it. And I'll want to dive into your hydrangea Grin

It is unusual. Some of the roses on it are pink, others white, others that deep burgundy colour. It's called 'Rosa Angel Eyes'

beautyisfoundwithin · 04/08/2020 19:53

Wow, so many beautiful photos! I haven't been on for a while either what with one thing and another and there's so much to catch up on!

mosscarpet · 04/08/2020 21:26

DDemelza that is lovely. I've got an Arthur Bell in the front, it didn't do very well this year, think it needs some tlc
always that Rose is gorgeous

Pic of my pond which I love. It has had a bit of a revamp this year so needs some more plants adding and need to hide the pump return pipe! My water Lily has flowered though Smile

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet love that rose and the hydrangea is such a wonderful colour. We went to a local garden centre and open gardens yesterday and I was going to buy an echinacea exactly like that but my autistic daughter said she couldn't bear the fact that it looks inside out, shame it's very pretty.
@mosscarpet your garden is beautiful.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 05/08/2020 08:58

@ditavonteesed What an interesting observation from your daughter 😂 She's absolutely correct Smile

I love your pond @mosscarpet

ditavonteesed · 05/08/2020 09:19

Today's offerings are cornflowers in so many colours and one half of my flower bed. I can't believe how much it's filled out

Absolutely stunning rose @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet

DDemelza · 05/08/2020 14:01

What a gorgeous bed, Dita. 😍 Moss, your pond is beyond lovely. 🐡 Always, your post sent me on a mission and I have bought a very similar one. I think that is five bareroot rose plants arriving in November now.😬😱

Pictured: the Peruvian lily that was new a few weeks ago, and is now fully blooming and starting to grow outwards. I hope this survives the winter. It's my favourite plant now.

@Phineasthegreat those two pics are really lovely. What type of lily is it? It is heavenly.

PickAChew · 05/08/2020 15:19

Crocosmia and Japanese anemone in full flower, now. Need to find some thick gloves to pull out those forget me nots.

In my back garden. Sorbaria sorbifolia, false spirea, living happily under my Japanese apricot tree. Not as many blooms as usual, this year, but it's the first year they've not been infested with bugs. At their prettiest the moment they bloom, as the open flowers soon turn brown. I love the foliage on this, as new shoots are pink.

Along the back of my garden is a strip that used to be a weed infested no man's land between a rotten fence, held up by ivy and fairy dust and our back neighbour's newbuild fence. There's a level difference between the two gardens so dh built it up with decking boards and I cultivate herbs in it. There used to be 3 different types of thyme in here but the lemon thyme and silver thyme didn't enjoy the damp winter. I'm probably going to have to cull the rosemary at the end, too, as it's covered in powdery mildew.

Those lilies are stunning DDemelza. I too bought some a few weeks ago and they are just starting to bloom. Do wish I'd got a more exotic colour like yours though! May have to go buy some more Smile

But those are stunning!

beautyisfoundwithin · 05/08/2020 18:01

That's a lovely pond @mosscarpet.

Your border looks great @ditavonteesed!

I definitely want one of those now @DDemelza & @Rookiegardener, they're gorgeous!

Stunning Lilies @Phineasthegreat, I'd say they're my favourite type I think (but I do love them all! Blush)

I'm sharing another Lily, another California Poppy, and one of my Dahlias.
