Anne, I loooooooove the red wax begonias. Do you overwinter them? I am thinking of attempting it this year.

Lovely hydrangeas. Homebase have some rather fetching pink ones at the moment.

Beauty, wow. My sunflower is steadfastly refusing to bloom. Think I am going to Tomorite that mofo.

Some aphids appeared in my garden this week, and look who has appeared this evening to dispense rough justice.🐞🐞🐞❤

No , I do not @DDemelza . I get them at the garden centre.

Thanks! I was pleased to catch the little bee in there too! What's typical is that none of the Sunflowers I lovingly and carefully sowed have flowered (in fact probably 80% were completely eaten by slugs), but this one was one of the ones that was accidentally sowed by the birds eating sunflower seeds I fed them on the bird table! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Love your little 🐞 warrior @DDemelza! Dispensing justice like a Ladybird Batman!

Oh how lovely to see a ladybird!

The bees love our sunflowers too, makes me feel like I’m doing something right for the world.

catwithflowers · 25/07/2020 21:44

@Pop. It looks like a spirea 😊

LuluJakey1 · 25/07/2020 21:50

A cornflower and what I think are 2 different geraniums that came from seed

The paler pink one is not a geranium . I do not know what it is. Sorry @ditavonteesed z.

It's a large white butterfly- we used to call them cabbage whites when I was little I seem to remember

catwithflowers · 26/07/2020 10:56

@BadlydoneHelen thank you! 😊

Elladisenchanted · 26/07/2020 11:00

I'm a total garden novice. I don't know what any of my flowers actually are! If anyone could name them I'd be thrilled! Pleased to see lots of bees and butterflies though :)

In your second set @Elladisenchanted , the feathery pink ones are Astilbe, the pale pink are Phlox .
I do not know the yellow one .
In your first set , the purple one is buddleia. The middle one looks like a Weigela ? BUT I am not sure about that one .

BadlydoneHelen · 26/07/2020 11:58

The spiky grass that's similar to birds of paradise is probably crocrosmia- if it's red it's a variety called Lucifer otherwise there are a few orange flowered ones. And you have a peacock butterfly!

BadlydoneHelen · 26/07/2020 12:04

The daisy like one is a chamomile

popgoesperfection · 26/07/2020 14:04

Smile thanks cat! Your butterfly pic is great! No idea what type it is but it looks beautiful !
Lulu that is a glorious wall of clematis!!!
Then roses look divine Anne. Have they got a scent to them? I bet it's lovely opening your front door to them!!

AnneKipanki · 26/07/2020 14:39

I can't smell them very well but my H can .

OP posts:
catwithflowers · 26/07/2020 15:22

@Elladisenchanted I would have said the daisy one is feverfew. 😊

Elladisenchanted · 26/07/2020 15:24

Thank you @annekipanki and @BadlydoneHelen!
Yes I showed the kids the butterfly - they were thrilled!

catwithflowers · 26/07/2020 15:24

@BadlydoneHelen Just realised feverfew is another name for chamomile 😘
