Thanks @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet we live in a lovely rural location but only have a small garden which slopes away from our house down to the stream on the lower tier. I’ll post a pic to show what that little area looks like to the left hand side

I planned a tasteful but colourful show for my tub at the front of the house. Normally I grow my own plants for it, eg ivy, violas - because that's more rewarding though often not as showy, however this year I bought miniature daff bulbs and a daphne, thinking splash of yellow around early flowering and sweet smelling Daphne shrub.
and this is what I got - not a great successSmile

I am very lucky with the stream, it’s only a tiny 5m stretch but it babbles and is very calming.

MillicentMartha · 14/04/2020 13:43

What a nice idea. My garden is looking a bit overgrown and lacking in colour this year, but I love it. The apple tree will be covered in blossom soon.

Here’s my tulips and anemone Blanca.
The tulips were supposed to be tasteful shades of pink, purple and bronze. They were loose bulbs at the garden centre. I think someone was having a laugh!

We had a bit of a garden makeover last year. I was a bit apprehensive but sooo pleased now that we did it as I think we are going to be spending a lot of time in it this year! Here are a couple of before and after photos. We hadn't quite finished the patio, hence the pile of bricks,

May I join in? I'm really getting into gardening and trying to find the time. We moved to our forever home in August 2018 and are lucky to have a big garden. I do find it a bit overwhelming. I'm slowly doing bits here and there.

My absolutely favourite thing in my garden is this spectacular old pear tree. Currently in full bloom!

So many beautiful pictures, they almost make up for the garden centres being closed 😭
But I do look at and appreciate each picture ❤️🌷

Some of mine today - front left & right lawns, and back (more a field than a garden) where we plan to grow veg which I know nothing about
I never grow tired of our view Smile

Far side is/will be a weed wildflower meadow

Btw, this is so outing

Do you live in a national park Always? The view is a bit rubbish isn't it 😉. Absolutely spectacular, I think I'd feel very peaceful looking at that each day.

Kdubs1981 · 15/04/2020 07:01

@BobTheDuvet it did have a swing until last week. It fell off in mid flight 😬

All ok, but Grandad is in isolation, so no one to fix it! 😢

Kdubs1981 · 15/04/2020 07:02

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet

Wow.

jenthehen · 15/04/2020 07:07
