Happy new year.... if there's anyone still here 😬

It's a beautiful day here. My Camellia has been in bloom since September, and the spring camellias are budding Smile

Happy new year everyone Grin
@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet that camellia is stonking! Wonder if I have space for one?Hmm

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 04/01/2020 13:28

@hoochymamgu They're quite small - the autumn/winter flowering Camellias. You could probably have one in a pot? It's been so lovely to have it blooming throughout the winter. I can't bear a bare winter garden Sad

I'm just home from the garden centre. I bought a Rhododendron. I've been bitten by the gardening bug a little earlier than usual this year Grin

What kind of camellia is it?

hoochymamgu · 04/01/2020 15:01

I don't blame you! My lovely MiL gave me a garden voucher, and it's burning a hole in my pocket Smile
I think plants are addictive.. but I've had so much pleasure from my garden this year, looking forward to spring Grin

Just been put in our garden to measure the shed and it's looking very sad out there. I can't quite face it yet though...!

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 04/01/2020 15:47

It's called a Camellia Sasanqua. And my spring Camellias bloom from early March until May.
Yes, they are so addictive. I saw an evergreen clematis with stunning white flowers in May at the garden centre this morning, I just know I'll go back for it!
Enjoy spending your voucher Smile
I hinted for one, but it fell on deaf ears Hmm😂😂

Aww, he's a cheerful chap!
Happy New Year to you tooSmile

I've just ordered lots of David Austin roses. There's a website here offering 20% off. I ordered Princess Anne, Princess Alexandra and Thomas A Becket. I can't wait for summer Smile
Here is a picture of my 'Harlow Carr' last summer - I'm sure I probably posted it at the time.

And here is a picture representing the fact that it's only the first week in January, and I've already spent what I swore I wouldn't spend across the entire year.... 🤦‍♀️
(My favourite meme)Grin

Happy gardening in 2020 🌺

It is a garden centre ( one of the gardeners is in TV programmes ).
There are lots of sculptures ( that you can buy )
I suppose you could paint them pink @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet .

hoochymamgu · 06/01/2020 15:18

Thanks @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet that's one for my list!
Yes there's always something to buy in these darned garden centres Smile

AnneKipanki · 06/01/2020 15:27

The sculpture above is probably about 5 foot tall .

AnneKipanki · 10/01/2020 20:24

My husband has been there. He says he wants us to go there because it is so beautiful.

userxx · 17/01/2020 20:41

Today near work I noticed a cherry blossom has started to flower!

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 18/01/2020 08:58

Are you sure it's a cherry blossom @userxx ?
There's a tree that's very similar to a cherry blossom that blooms in February. I've forgotten the name though.
