Here are some of my current blooms from around my garden; Cistus, Hydrangea and Mallows, all pink Smile

(I think mumsnet only allow 3 uploads)?

Your never-ending flowers @AnneKipankiSmile

They're absolutely beautiful. Lucky you!

Haha I don't follow football either except the Euro and World Cup - I don't know the players or the offside rule Shock but I liked the attention his waistcoat was attracting!

I meant to namechange back but never got round to it Grin

My salvia hotlips is still flowering in the SE along with various fuchsias. I have plentiful bobbly fatsia flowers!

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 11/11/2019 17:37

Oh please don't change it, it's very funny! And the Euros are next year, so it will be relevant then Smile

My understanding of the offside rule is that beyond a certain line, the striker must not be in front of the 2 defenders
I'm probably wrong though Grin
Surely if it's that simple, we'd all understand it? Confused

Back on topic... I too have Salvia hotlips (pictured) Not very exciting or one of my favourites, but I've so little left that I'm clinging on to what's left.
Our temps are supposed to drop to below freezing this week Sad

All taken today

You're right, I'll be relevant again in 6 months or so 😂

Lovely flowers! It's dropped below freezing here already so I've lost a lot of the tender stuff. My kitchen is currently full of large windowboxes that I need to fleece and tuck away in a sheltered spot for the winter Smile

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 13/11/2019 12:39

You're so good to mind them @GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat

Here is my white cherry blossom, today 🍂
It's our last tree to hold its leaves. It is soooo beautiful in spring, although the flowers succumbed to a late frost this year.
We have 2 pinks also.

Flowers still hanging on Smile

Henry's plate untouched. I can't bear to bring it in yet. I hope he's snug and safe

Our holly has been visited by redwing thrushes this morning. They usually mean a bad winter ❄️.

AnneKipanki · 17/11/2019 14:25

Light on shrubs .

Holly bush is stripped of berries.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 20/11/2019 16:34

Lucky birds! You had the berries for longer than you thought you would?

This is my only red berried shrub (Cotoneaster)? I don't know if birds eat the berries or not, I haven't noticed them near it. Maybe they're toxic? Confused
I don't even particularly like it all that much, it spreads like crazy and smothered a Hydrangea Envy
I've hacked it back several times, and it grows back vigorously

Always, for cotoneaster it seems that "Birds ignore the fruit if there is anything better in the vicinity, but may go for them at some point in winter when there is no tastier choice." (www.paghat.com/cotoneasterbearberry.html)

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 28/11/2019 16:07

Thank you @Elowyn
That's interesting and exactly how I feel about fruit also

Here are pics I took of my oak leaved hydrangea and Chinese Virginia creeper before the leaves began to fall off.
