Of our gardens, plants and flowers?

Here are some of my current blooms from around my garden; Cistus, Hydrangea and Mallows, all pink Smile

(I think mumsnet only allow 3 uploads)?

That is a gorgeous hydrangea.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 16/09/2019 14:34

Thanks @AnneKipanki 😊

I'm busy planting bulbs at the moment.
Look up images of 'ice-cream Tulips' - they're so pretty and unusual. I hope I can get them in a
garden centre, but I can probably order them online anyway

Have just found this thread, thank you all for posting. I have a huge list of plants I must have for my new gardenGrin.

I am in NZ so just coming into Spring here and a good time to be planting - I hope.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 17/09/2019 12:31

Welcome @FiveShelties Smile

Coming into spring, lucky you! I hope you will post pictures Smile

Completely off topic, but you know how teenagers develop obsessions and specialised interests? My daughter's is New Zealand and NZ rugby. She's like an encyclopedia of knowledge about New Zealand Smile
Her bedroom is literally ceiling to floor NZ everything and pictures of Dan Carter, Richie McCaw and the Haka. (If you're not a fan, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about)!
But it's her goal and dream in life to go there, and she saves 90% of her money towards it, bless her.
I'll tell her that somebody in NZ posted on my thread on mumsnet Smile

I bought more spring bulbs today. I'm even beginning to forget where I've planted them all, It will be a lovely surprise in spring Grin

Those ice cream tulips are unusual Always ! That would be lovely having some Springtime flowers from elsewhere in the world.

FiveShelties · 18/09/2019 07:59

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet thank you for the welcome. I love your user name, it sums me up exactlyGrin

I will post some pictures of my garden, lots of lawn (well it is sort of green and looks like grass) at the moment and a couple of borders. It is dark at the moment so will do that tomorrow.

How lovely your daughter's specialised subject is NZ. I knew exactly what you were talking about, although there are lots of aspects of rugby which I have yet to be educated on! I am from Lancashire so more of a football girl. If I can be of any help with NZ stuff please just ask.

I have found the thread so inspirational - giving me lots of ideas, although have to be careful here as things which grew to say 1 metre in UK seem to reach double and treble that here and my last garden was definitely overplanted with shrubs that grew and grew. I am aiming to be more restrained with this one - not sure how long that will last.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 18/09/2019 13:55

It should be 'AlwaysOnADietMonday-Thursday' Not so much at weekends Confused 😂

Looking forward to seeing your pictures Smile
