I love my Tagetes but find them hard to find in the garden centres. Luckily we have a local nursery that grows its own bedding plants

The sweet peas are struggling though they are in shade

I thought I would post my grassy bits. The red one was bought on recommendation of a MNer.

The area isn't brilliant so I'm surprised it's survived

Can any of you budding gardeners give me any ideas?

We have just moved in to a new property and the front garden is gravel. I would like all the gravel gone but DP wants to keep it. How can I make this pretty with flowers and plants leaving it as gravel?

@MummyOfTwo92.. The grasses I posted above are planted into a gravel area. You can get some lovely ones that will give colour or form not the triffid I have in the back garden

And then pots as previously suggested

OP...They bloomed...lovely

Oldraver · 11/08/2019 10:10

I got my red grass from Waitrose Garden they have some lovly ones

Furries · 11/08/2019 11:29

Mummyoftwo - I recently put gravel down on large area of front garden as I wanted less lawn to mow!

I inserted some metal rings from EverEdge, some of which I planted with bedding plants for instant colour and am still deciding what to plant in the empty ones. The photos are a bit rubbish, but give the general idea.

I love my garden. We back onto green belt, it's lovely! We are renting so have inherited lots of mature trees and shrubs, but I have tons of pots on our terrace. It's the first time I've grown tomatoes and I am really pleased with how they are doing. I am being a real geek and counting/weighing them as I harvest them so I can see the total haul!

It's beautiful @AnneKipanki

I bought this Hydrangea this morning. I love it so much

It's a great time to buy plants, most of the garden centres here are doing 20% or more reductions. Although, maybe that's because of our incessant rain the past few weeks Confused
