I will look at today's pictures when the kids are in bed later. My new favourite thing to do Smile

Here are 3 more of mine today, it's pouring rain. African daisies gone crazy, purple echinacea (I want lots more of these, to group together) and a hydrangea that has finally bloomed, in August Confused

I love the Alliums and Cornflowers up thread. Will definitely have a look at planting some

I've consulted my ' plants that will harm the stupid cat' and they are not on there

Such lovely photos of all the flowers.

I have a red twig dogwood which was here when I moved in. It had got a bit out of control, so I cut it right back to the ground at the end of March. First time I’ve done something like that, so was a bit nervous I might have finished it off!

New shoots appeared at the start of June and now it’s rather large again. So, if anyone is looking for a vigorous shrub to plug a gap then this could be a good one. Plus it offers a nice bit of colour on dreary winter days with bright red stems.

Ooh will add dogwood to my list

I suppose this is technically a bract, but think they are lovely. The foliage is mice and bright on the winter as well
