Rescue*
My collection of rescued Hydrangeas, all rescued at the end of last year and grown in planters.
I’ve no idea what they are called, because they were in a sorry state on the left over tables.

Lots of bees this year

I wish I could say the same.
My cherry tree that is usually covered with honeybees had none in sight at all this year.

I've seen a lot of hover flies, some bumbles and the odd honeybee in my garden but their numbers have been seriously low this year.

Even my DH commented that we seem to be seeing more dead/exhausted possibly on the verge of death bumblebees on the pavements than in previous years.

Extremely concerning.

Siameasy · 13/07/2019 17:10

I’ve seen loads of dead/exhausted bumbles too and my parents have said the same. Hope nothing is wrong.

My Catananche and my Toadflax both from seed and my Morning Glories today, two slightly different shades.

Sorry, me again. This picture is of self sown Mimulus on their second flush of flowers. I grew a few last year and have been rewarded with a whole lot of self seeded ones, in other planters and in paving cracks.

I've thoroughly enjoyed browsing through this thread.

Here are a few of mine - salvia hot lips with honeysuckle behind (first year of flowering - I bought it reduced from B&M), the first flowers on my lovely red dahlia and a clematis that is the only survivor of the house when we moved in. It was growing by the front door and we moved it to the back.

The garden was so disgusting that we had to rip everything out, flatten it and start again. We won the worst garden competition in the local paper - the £200 prize bought the fence!

You can't actually see the honeysuckle. It smells lovely though.

AnneKipanki · 13/07/2019 20:33

This is my red rose . It is doing well this year . Managed to get a decent photo.

I seem to have some one else's photos on my post.
Lovely leaves @AravisQueenOfArchenland
I have black spot .

AnneKipanki · 13/07/2019 20:55

I love this thread too .
Nice mimulus .

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 13/07/2019 20:59

@AnneKipanki I can't see black spot in your picture, but I'm sitting outside in the sun, so it's difficult to see on my phone and have had 2 glasses of wine

My roses have it this year Sad
I haven't treated it (is there a treatment, I've only seen a preventative)? but I'm going to prune them down to ground level in the autumn and only buy carpet roses from now on.
They're disease free Smile

It's such a shame, because the roses are still beautiful. It's only the leaves that are affected.
