To remind myself as much as anything else!

Aldi have vegetable plug plants in tomorrow, £1.99 each. 10 varieties - pictures show broccoli, caulis, tomatoes, peppers. Also, rhodos for £5.99 if they are your kind of thing.

Massive seed reductions some packs are 5p
Postage is £1.50 regardless of how many you buy

JazzAnnNonMouse · 02/04/2016 13:16

I've started a plant/seed swap thread if anyone is interested - could be cheap way to get some things we haven't got!

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 02/04/2016 13:25

Oh my, thankyou Jazzann I have just popped onto their site and ordered about 20 packs of veg seeds (plus sweet peas, can never resist), trowel and dibber for £4.41 including the 1.50 postage!!!!!

All my seeds are started for this year, but this will do in the tin for next year. Such a super bargain! 5p for packs of seeds, gardeners delight toms etc, and chilli seeds for a massive 1p. Worth a punt!

Will keep an eye on the thread, as I'm an active produce grower (8x10 and 8x6 greenhouses, three raised beds in front garden, bath and dozens of pots), and always on the look out for a frugal way of doing it.

Aldi have in lots of gardening stuff including practical things like an incinerator and a huge and very robust looking water butt for £28.99. Plug plants for bedding and veg (for those not growing from seed) too!

No worries Smile
I had to request to delete 2 of them though because the links showed my email address and the other was logged in as me so my actual address was on display!
The deleted ones were

5 free fuchsias velvet crush just £4.95 postage from Mr fothergills
And
36 lucky dip perennials for 36p from Thompson and Morgan

Hopefully you can find them by searching though I think the 36p one ends tonight.

Secret gardening club has some lovely fuchsias on it this week

shovetheholly · 12/04/2016 11:48

People on a couple of threads asking about where to buy cheap grasses. Secret Gardening Club have LOTS of grasses on 3 for under £6, including my absolute favourite, Calamagrostis Karl Foerster.

Just back from Morrisons .Lots of vareties of fuschia - only 4 or 6" ,but only £2 .

I'm back with a small viburnum tinus ! £2 ,some trailing surfina petunias ( £1 a pot ) ,white geraniums ( 4 for £2 I think ) .

Lidls have got standard fuschia's 2 or3' high for £6 .

gingeroots · 22/04/2016 17:41

Lidls also had pots of a largish plant -Snowflake Waxflower .After a bit of googling I'm not much wiser .£6
It's not the lovely hoya plant but I think related to Myrtle and from Western Australia ?
Guess it might grow in dry sunny conditions ?

Wow, pretty thing! I've never even heard of that before - and I don't think I've seen it anywhere either.

My guess, if it's native to Oz, is that you're right that it probably likes it well-drained, and may not be that hardy? (Probably OK darn sarf, maybe not oop neurth?)
