To remind myself as much as anything else!

Aldi have vegetable plug plants in tomorrow, £1.99 each. 10 varieties - pictures show broccoli, caulis, tomatoes, peppers. Also, rhodos for £5.99 if they are your kind of thing.

Poundland have pot stands in again .They're not quite as good as last years because the top isn't flat but recessed ,but I was so pleased with mine last year that I've bought more .

They've also got 5L bags of vermiculite .

Went to Aldi today, and picked up an Erysimum Bowles Mauve for £1.99 - not many there, but lovely bushy little plants. Also a couple of alpines for 99p . Geums were there too :)

Hello all, new here! Just seen what seems to be a good offer in Gardener's World mag (I read digital copy online free from library) - Thomson & Morgan plant offers, and for mag readers 36 perennials if you pay postage of £5 odd. //www.thompson-morgan.com/GW876Z sorry can't do clicky link

Popped into Homebase ( Bunnings) and they were giving away trays of gone over pansies!
I don't know if this is at every store, but might be a new policy. A pity I had no need of them.

Ooh which store was that JT05? I'm hopeful they'll restore the old shelf of death. It was there the other week but seems to have gone again. Perhaps they look after their plants too well!

Just to report more garden items coming into Aldi on Sunday:

It's Market Harbrough, Leics.
I got a lovely Fushia with a few damaged leaves for £3. I went for a summer Jasmine, but they have a bird nesting between the pots!

Oh sweet!! I've noticed the 'careful birds nesting' signs in ours in previous years Smile

I got excited as I thought you meant the Homebases (Homebasi?) that have been converted to Bunnings in Herts. I hope they take a leaf out of Market Harborough's book Grin

sunnyhills thanks for the heads up at Poundland. I took a look in ours but they didn't have either of those items gah! Just lots of solar tat and flimsy plastic rubbish. Hopefully the better gardening items will be along shortly Flowers

The Wilko sale online has both the 4 and 6 seater wooden furniture sets heavily reduced - £65/£85 respectively with good reviews:

here

Dunelm has lots of loungers and bistro sets reduced instore (some online). Also had all the bbq/furniture covers half price to protect them over winter.

Chattymummyhere · 25/08/2017 16:18

Wilko own seeds are half marked price now and lots of their gardening bits and bobs are marked down in stores.

Also wyevale garden centre has their 50p seed sale £1.99 postage for as many seeds as you order.

Can you buy Aldi stuff online?

Report
GingerKitCat · 27/04/2018 15:33

Re. Aldi, some things you can! Delivery is free with a £20 spend. They've started putting the weekly offers up in advance so the May 3rd gardening promo will probably go live online tomorrow or Sunday. You can find it in shops from Thursday.

20% off all outdoor plants at B&Q. I bought a fab bay tree for my front step for £28. My local garden was selling one only slightly bushier for £75! Shock

Also picked up a lovely lavender and chilli plant too (very healthy with about 15 chillis on already!)

My local Homebase is selling their massive geraniums for £3. Some of the flowers have wilted, but they're large plants and will be absolutely fine. I would imagine it is a nationwide thing.

I was in Morrisons today and they had an excellent and bargainous range of plants. Someone was actually watering them so they looked in peak condition.

I'm off to B&Q on Friday (we don't have one locally) - I hope the bargain shelf is well stocked Grin

If there are any left in the shops (I had to try several before I tracked one down) grab the May issue of Gardeners' World. There's a 2 for 1 entry offer on 447 gardens throughout the UK. Includes Kew Gardens and the Eden Project. It lasts for a full year so really worth it.
