So we're starting to think about visiting unis for application next year.
How do we get the most out of our visit?

My DD did prospective student tours when she lead an undergrad . They don’t put a gloss on anything. generally an honest opinion is given.

DDs didn’t mind too much where they lived. It was more about in which city. Accommodation wouldn’t have been a deal breaker. There were some useful pointers in subject talks but it depends on subject I think. Tours of science facilities are more meaningful than some other departments. So use time on what really matters to your student but over thinking every minute element can lead to disappointment. Especially if they want a star lecturer whose gone abroad for a year!
