I am stuck in a Special K rut!

OP posts:
Tommy · 29/04/2009 11:18

I had a banana and a yogurt. Normally have muesli but have a really sore throat and I think it would feel like razor blades!

Bettymum · 29/04/2009 11:19

A big bowl of Dorset Cereals muesli, a mug of tea and a glass of cranberry juice. Probably about 500 calories in that though

UpSinceCrapOClock · 29/04/2009 11:19

Oats with yoghurt (also like to stir in those frozen berries you can buy - defrosted of course!)

mishymoo · 29/04/2009 11:19

Usually some fruit but also enjoy muesli with yoghurt!

Tn0g · 29/04/2009 11:21

Usually porridge and a smoothie.

Although this morning I had two very large Pain au chocolats.

Today a homemade banana muffin.

If you make things yourself there's no calorie info to worry about

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 29/04/2009 11:24

Weetabix

I tend to have whatever the dc are having to avoid arguments! We do get a bit more adventurous at the weekend!

Tortoise · 29/04/2009 11:24

At the moment i love crunchy nut clusters.
But sometime have crumpets or toast.
Nothing particularly exciting!

glass of OJ
bowl with oats, blueberries and skimmed milk
cup of coffee.

Try to resist the bread, sometimes let myself have bread & jam at weekends!

This morning it was crumpets with organic peanut butter.

I have to have some protein/fat in the morning or I get shaky and hungry within two hours!

Bagel with cream cheese works as well.

Very lean bacon on a piece of toast too.

Lizzylou · 29/04/2009 11:33

Fruit and yoghurt, today I had pineapple, strawberries and raspberries.

I have to force myself to have breakfast tbh, and if I have toast then I am hungry again by mid morning.

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 29/04/2009 11:38

Two slices of wholemeal toast, both with butter, one with Marmite, one with apricot jam. A large mug of tea.

You think you're stuck in a rut- I've been having the same breakfast for 25 years......

Overmydeadbody · 29/04/2009 11:40

a huge bowl of fresh pineapple and a mug of coffee.

Geepers · 29/04/2009 11:42

Apparently a bowl of Special K has as much sugar in as a donut.

I usually have toast. Boring.

humptyNdumpy · 29/04/2009 11:43

How can you be bothered to prepare a fresh pineapple first thing in the morning? I always want fruit but cannot be arsed with it

AMumInScotland · 29/04/2009 11:45

Usually bran flakes and fruit juice (lovely Lidl multi-fruit juice with loads of vitamins). Sometimes muesli, sometimes Special K. Always cereal unless I'm away on holiday though! I don't think I'd be able to cope with making more complicated decisions in the morning...

compo · 29/04/2009 11:45

cruncnhy nut clusters and fruit
if I'm being good I have tesco's sugar free muesli

Lizzylou · 29/04/2009 11:50

humptyNdumpy, I mainly chop it all up and put it in a bowl in the fridge and then add whatever berries etc as I go.
I don't have breakfast until after the school run though, when I come home to work (not done much of that today...).

BonsoirAnna · 29/04/2009 11:53

A croissant, which I buy at the boulangerie on the way back from dropping DD at school. And black Nespresso.

Amandoh · 29/04/2009 11:57

Normally two eggs scrambled with two slices of toasted wholemeal Nimble bread but on warmer days I tend to have the toasted Nimble with some marmalade or, like you, a bowl of Special K. The creamy berry crunch is delicious.

blametheparents · 29/04/2009 11:59

Porridge with some raisins thrown in.
