You know, like a book club but with food.

As in, people agree a menu then cook it (presumably trying out different recipes or variations on a theme) and then come back and talk about what worked and what didn't. Or what was tricky.

Is that too anal?

Just a thought whilst watching Masterchef and thinking I need a kick up the bum to try different menus.

DH and I had it last night and it got a big thumbs up.
Followed recipe mainly but put in less meat and more veg (usual skinflint practice in this house ), didn't bother with celery as never know what to do with the rest of it and forgot leek as DH had 'hidden' it.
Will see what children think of it later in week but it has been added to our meal-planner list already.

Am running a bit behind myself this week but planning to make it on Saturday - without parsley though I think as dc always say yuk about parsley!

I'm so excited - dh has made it tonight and we're about to eat !!

it was fabulous - lovely,especially the cobbler bit - now have to think of ways to use up the horseradish !

Whats next weekends' one? I want to join in too, it all sound great! Or are you waiting till next month? Will it be in a Food Group thread?
