I have a 19 month old baby who is not fussy as such, but eats in tiny quantities.
On a good day, he'll have - half a weetabix with milk,
six bites of pasta and brocolli, vanilla yoghurt,
6 bites of a blueberry muffin,
half a little bowl of chicken casserole with potatoes and carrots.

He used to eat an actual plateful of food, but hasn't done for about 4 months. Still drinks milk though. When he's sick, he won't eat a thing.

See, now you've lost me. I'm English in Scotland and just don't get oor wullie.

DooDoDooDoDoMaNuhMaNuh · 21/11/2007 22:46

Quick, Aitch, fetch a nappy!

mummymagic · 21/11/2007 22:46

See I held back with so many extravagant purchases (have only ever had one pushchair ) for my firstborn and have never regretted splashing out on the TT. Although it is v well designed and not just a lifestyle-envy buy, honest.

Oh, and it makes our £90 Ikea table and chairs look better too! (can't believe our highchair cost more than our whole dining table set but on the plus side it means we now own some furniture not from Ikea)

KermAitchTheFrog · 21/11/2007 22:47

you're WHAT?!

ScottishMummy · 21/11/2007 22:47

"meet the babysitters"

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/11/2007 22:48

Swap you?

onebatmother · 21/11/2007 22:48

ooh isn't this thread like one of those 1960s social experiments where group bonds are tested by a mischievous outside influence, in order to establish how loyalties are formed?

look! over there! it's the issue of high chairs! stop thinking about children and choice and will, too difficult! Start thinkign about high chairs!

Habbibu · 21/11/2007 22:49

Hunker - I'm scared of namechanging...

KermAitchTheFrog · 21/11/2007 22:49

i'm the same with our hammock, MM, it's nice to have one special thing i think. if someone else had been paying i'd have gone for a TT, deffo.

Now, Mummymagic, were you thinking of changing your name? you are better than this. and while we're on the subject of names, i think StarlightMcKenzie is my absolute favourite on MN at the mo. it's wonderful, so evocative and prosaic at the same time.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/11/2007 22:50

Have absolutely no inspiration for muppet or any other namechanges today. [boring]

am shattered. Will off to bed after IACGMOOH has finished.

ScottishMummy · 21/11/2007 22:50

Habbibu, why scared?

Aitch, I think Harpsi's got a Bunsenny name.

Habbibu · 21/11/2007 22:51

Pah! OBM - it's a nice bonding thing so that when we do come back to talking about tricky issues it will be as friends, not strangers, and hence will be v. constructive. Tah DaH!

ScottishMummy · 21/11/2007 22:51

Habbibeaker, then. although harpsi's isn't as good as hab's would have been.

mummymagic · 21/11/2007 22:53

Well onebat I think it's the power of women over stupid men, They'd have a war or something, whereas we unite over muppets and highchairs.

Hurrah for women!

KermAitchTheFrog · 21/11/2007 22:54

what about MissVicky? not v flattering.

Habbibu · 21/11/2007 22:55

Oh, no - can't be beaker. Had my nose broken playing hockey in school by a boy who looked exactly like Beaker, and who had stalked me on the bus.

oranges · 21/11/2007 22:55

i think this is the longest thread i've ever started....and i'm in south london. is highchair envy a bit like pushchair envy?
