....something that is not going to take forever or make me feel fat be awkward to eat in front of someone you haven't eaten with before and that doesn't make anything you might do after er undesirable...or leave bits in teeth

tell him to bring a pinny and he can cook for you

OverRated · 09/11/2007 03:52

So, what did you decide?

zippitippitoes · 09/11/2007 07:48

that I have a lot of stress to get over before sunday night!

I have to do a design assignment
pack parcels for my business and work things
spend today at college
contact electrician plumber and kitchen fitter
patch with plasterboard and plaster the hole in the kitchen ceiling in the house i am building
paint that ceiling and the walls where the kitchen is going
buy said paint
choose a colour
move all the basins toilets taps showers kithen cupboards in the new house
so that i can put the 7 metres of extremely heavy walnut worktop flat for proper storage
level the patio area
order materials for patio
work out insulation and put in eaves
rearrange delivery of missed shop stock
clean own house etcetc ready for man visitor
including transfer possibly of all kitchen appliances to house build house

Busy then, zippi?

Best of luck with the steak

Alibobster · 09/11/2007 16:19

Do sort of Antipasti - some salami, cheese, bread, olives, baby peppers (jar in Asda!) Dead easy and can be ready in advance, and you won't end up smelling of cooking

zippitippitoes · 09/11/2007 16:22

or antipasti or lasagne or chicken lol

now back from college ND HAVE TO START ON THAT HORRIBLE LISYT

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 10/11/2007 11:38

lol i now have a plumber unexpectedly here toiday and my sis has asked me to go to a couple of exhibitions in brum tomorra so i will be back abotu an hour and a half before this man eating event so it will have to be something pretty darn quick

when will i learn to say i am too busy?

Beans on toast?

How about a pizza or something like that?

If you only have 90mins to make it I'd deffo go for something easy.

Baked potatoes?

Pasta & pesto?

zippitippitoes · 10/11/2007 11:44

those 90 minutes are going to be spent in the shower doing my hair and face etc lol

i could make lasagne early on i guess and just stick it in the oven with leaves

or m&S dinner maybe?

cold meats and cheese and bread except i will end up stuffing myself with bread and fall aslkeep with a carbs exhaustion

zippitippitoes · 10/11/2007 11:45

Gravadlax of salmon, new potatoes dressed with a sprinkling of dill, a salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red pepper, pineapple and egg quarters. Mustard & Dill Sauce for the salmon. Dollop of creamed cabbage on the side.

Aside from boiling potatoes, no actual cooking involved, so you wont be "all steamed up" and smelling of roast, and have a messy kitchen. If he is sporty, he will be impressed with this healthy non fat option of veg, omega 3, & protein. A nice chilled Chablis if you can afford it. Pinot Grigio is also quite nice with fish.

zippitippitoes · 10/11/2007 12:52

hmm that sounds quite nice

doesn't involve putting the oven on and flexible with timing

lullabyloo · 10/11/2007 14:48

fireflyfairy2 · 12/11/2007 18:25

Did he enjoy it?

ModestyBlaise · 12/11/2007 18:32

lol he postponed because he hadn't finished his project..and as it happens neither had i..

so he is coming tonight after rugby

i have no food in and i'm starving but he is gatting something for himself on his way

so i either have to starve or get something for me

or have my 3rd bowl of cereal for the day and a shower etc before he gets here

i am my usual disorganised self just doing my days work after college

ModestyBlaise · 12/11/2007 18:33

i do have a bottle of wine tho

QuintessentialShadow · 12/11/2007 18:36

so, did YOU eat the salmon all by your own, and did you like it?
