Gusto boxes

Just started the gusto boxes. Would anyone like to swap recipe choices? / hints?

I’m cooking the prawn farfalle today - about to serve it for lunch but baffled the online recipe and physical recipe card don’t match. One says rocket one says pea shoots - I assume that’s a sub but weird that it’s the physical version that’s correct!

Has anyone else made this one? Or have any tips on choosing gusto meals?

Yes @pinkchampagne1 I had to double check cos anything other than basa costs more. I was tempted by the stroganoff too cos I love mushrooms but there's only so much noodles/spaghetti/linguine I can eat, and I do find Gousto loves to include them in lots of dishes!

I generally ignore that & all add salt 😁

I had the mushroom stroganoff with pasta a while ago, it was nice but I found it weird with pasta! Ive had the mushroom stroganoff with herby walnut rice tonight was really great 😋

Hmm, I think I will give it a miss then.

I have the cod with coconut curry, the chicken aioli and I am going to try the fiery Marmite burger.

We recreated the sticky chilli chicken tonight. The chilli jam we bought wasn’t as good as the one Gousto provided but it still tasted pretty good. The chips stuck to the tray again though!

@pinkchampagne1 you need greaseproof paper. It's changed my life 😂 you can also get silicon baking sheets which do the same thing but are reusable, they're a bit of a pain to wash though.

The one that annoys me the most is to preheat an oven at the beginning when it's for warming through some wraps 20 minutes later! I usually ignore the preheating the oven unless the main dish is going in imminently.

I had one that wanted the oven preheated at the start just to warm some naan bread the other week. I'll just pop them under the grill ta!

We have just recreated the Gousto spicy lamb stew. It turned out just like the original!

My Hello Fresh has arrived. Might do the prawn rigatoni tomorrow.

I am not very impressed with the new selection for the first week in July. Think I will skip that week.

What day of the week do the recipes change?

They change every Tuesday (so today) at around midday. You can now view the selection for the week after next if you have the Gousto app.

That’s the day you can view the new recipes but the actual recipes choices that get delivered to you change every Saturday

Just had the Hello Fresh prawn rigatoni. It was very tasty and an easy one to recreate.

Prawn rigatoni sounds lush

It was a lovely creamy, lemony dish. So easy to make too.
