Gusto boxes

Just started the gusto boxes. Would anyone like to swap recipe choices? / hints?

I’m cooking the prawn farfalle today - about to serve it for lunch but baffled the online recipe and physical recipe card don’t match. One says rocket one says pea shoots - I assume that’s a sub but weird that it’s the physical version that’s correct!

Has anyone else made this one? Or have any tips on choosing gusto meals?

I got £2 for my avocado! I was looking at HelloFresh for a change (and a discount!), but they only seem to deliver to us Thurs-Sat, and we have Gousto for weekday meals, so a bit disappointing.

Oh that’s a shame. We had our last Hello Fresh box delivered on a Monday as we like them for the week too. Maybe it varies by area.

@bonfireheart im not sure, they are in gousto's own packet. I don't like the meatless farm mince but did like the vegan burgers from gousto.

We had the smoky chicken stack tonight and it was lovely, even the smallest ate it all (apart from the pepper obviously!)

We have the onion bhaji burgers tonight, our last meal. Hope they are nice.

Having a week off next week but ordered the Korean spicy chicken with cheese for the week after, along with the lighter prawn linguine and the chicken biriyani.

Dd3 is 15 and has been very good at all the meals to be fair and actually enjoyed the fish pie last night but I did tweak it with some cheese in the sauce and chives and butter in the mash otherwise I think it would have been rather bland.
When our 3 were younger / small I really don't think it would have been a hit at all !

It’s a shame you can’t have a mixed box with some family meals along with some meals for 2.
My boys won’t eat prawns or any seafood really but we love them so if we fancy a prawn dish as one of our choices, it wouldn’t be touched by either of the boys.

@pinkchampagne1 yes that’s a brilliant idea! We have a family box and when get meals for us only we have them for lunch the next day. We then also cook a proper dinner the same so I think this is part of why the gusto has made us put on a bit of weight Blush

@spagbog5 she sounds pretty adventurous to me!! My two are both primary age and the younger dd in particular is not really a fan of anything fancy or ‘green bits’ on food as she puts it Grin

Will have to take it all back Grin both dds ate the beef bulgogi and loved it. We liked it too I have to say.

We have Spanish sausage salad tonight so as it's been so lovely today I'm hoping a different salad will be a hit in our house .

I kind of feel the same about the onion bhaji burger. It was ok but not sure I was overly wowed by it.

We had the mint lamb one pot dish yesterday. Dds polished it off which was good but dp said it was fatty and needed super trim mince with a lower fat % which I pretty much agree with I have to say!

We had a lamb mince one pot dish last week. I thought the mince was very fatty so cooked the mince and drained the fat off before adding the other ingredients.

Had the Korean prawn soup today and it was nice.

@TheSuezCanalTugBoat agree about about menu for the next two weeks.

I enjoyed the Korean king prawn soup too.

I have ordered some meals for next week. Have ordered the Korean Buldak chicken, the lighter prawn linguine, the cheesy mushroom risotto and the one pot chicken biryani.
