Gusto boxes

Just started the gusto boxes. Would anyone like to swap recipe choices? / hints?

I’m cooking the prawn farfalle today - about to serve it for lunch but baffled the online recipe and physical recipe card don’t match. One says rocket one says pea shoots - I assume that’s a sub but weird that it’s the physical version that’s correct!

Has anyone else made this one? Or have any tips on choosing gusto meals?

We had the sweet corn potato cakes with salsa and chilli sauce tonight, delicious, I would love to make this again. I think we have the bibimbap to make so I’m disappointed to hear it’s not great.

I think though this is why Gousto ask for comments in their ratings, so they can finesse the recipe going forward. So do share your feedback with them about the bibimap so they can finesse it.
Wish I'd listened to my own advice and wrote how much I disliked those meatless sausages!

Will maybe avoid the bibimbap then. Hoping the king prawn noodle soup that I have ordered will be nice.
We had this tonight and it was lovely. I shredded the pak choi instead of adding in halved stalks and whole leaves as I prefer it that way.It was very tasty and just the right side of spicy. Bibimap tomorrow, oh well...

Oh wow! We had the veggie Thai green curry last night and it was phenomenal!

We had the pork belly with gremolata and it was delicious Smile
We have also had the chicken Kiev and the fish chowder which were great and massive portions!
We have the Brazilian curry tonight but I'm not really feeling it so I may adapt to to chicken satay skewers with the rice .
We're loving it and will continue once every few weeks once our deal has finished as it's good to have different ideas .

Just had the bibimap and it was my favourite so far. I added some garlic to the veg whcih helped them along, really tasty. Dd wasn't keen at all though, horses for courses!

I've run out, more coming Saturday. Two Korean, a burger one and the chicken goujons with cheesy beans. Dd is cooking tonight, stuffed chicken in a tomato sauce.

What are the chicken goujons with the cheesy beans like? I often see them in the weekly menus but have never chosen them

Dd chose them and I didn't have high expectations but they are bloody delicious. Oven cooked chips and goujons coated in panko breadcrumbs. The beans are wonderful, I'm never eating baked beans again! It was a really yummy meal.

Oh I might have to give them a go. I think my boys would like them.
The minced lamb stew was really tasty tonight. DH said next time I should order it for 4 people because he could have eaten more of it!

Did you enjoy it?
I think I overcooked mine a bit as it looked a lot drier than the picture but we enjoyed it.

Haha. I did enjoy it. Mine was too wet - I have a one cup boiling thing rather than a kettle so I did two cups of water which was probably more than the recipe said. I have another portion as leftovers so hoping I can reduce it down a bit more.

I only put half of the harissa paste in and I'm glad I did. It was spicy enough as it was. The naan bread was the nicest I've had from a packet.

We've had the cheesy beans gougons a couple of times and really like it.

I had the pulled chicken and black bean chilli with avo and feta. DD went out so I made it without rice and ate all the avocado and feta. My avocado came completely squashed though so I had to buy a new one. It was okay, not bad but nothing special.

We had the Lebanese halloumi flatbread the day before, which I really liked but was hard work to eat!

We both agreed that the naan bread was particularly good too. I also only used half the paste and it was just spicy enough. We really enjoyed it but would add more water if we did it again!

We have had the pulled chicken chilli before. It was quite nice but agree it wasn’t amazing. You should complain about the squashed avocado. They will probably credit you £2 on your account.
