Ambrosia custard as the filling for apple tart (and there's usually too much so I HAVE to finish it myself, straight out of the tin).

MaryAnnSingletomb · 30/10/2007 13:41

I like cold sweetcorn out of the tin with a fork

MaryAnnSingletomb · 30/10/2007 13:41

and tuna and sweetcorn sandwich filling straight from the tub, no sandwich

Oenophile · 30/10/2007 13:42

The hot and very crispy fat off a joint of roast beef. Probably my favourite sneaky treat ever.

MrsArchieTheScaryInventor · 30/10/2007 13:42

Heinz tomato soup with a cheese topped bap

Leftover pizza... for breakfast the following morning

tonysoprano · 30/10/2007 13:45

pieces of ham with cream cheese spread in the middle and then rolled up and scoffed

EmsMum · 30/10/2007 13:45

Bacon rinds. Cooked so theres a bit crispy, a bit chewy. A rare treat now that so much is rindless... needs to be good bacon.

witchandchips · 30/10/2007 13:46

bread dipped in the fat of the grill pan after grilling bacon

I always use a packet mix to make chilli.

saythatagain · 30/10/2007 14:07

Second the bread dipped in the bacon fat after grilling; dh isn't aware of this delight and I have no intention of sharing it either. The crispy beef fat and give the lamb equivalent a try too! My mouth is watering!

francagoestohollywood · 30/10/2007 14:10

bread dipped in the fat after frying steak in butter.

cremolafoamingatthemouth · 30/10/2007 14:11

also tinned sweetcorn but has to be green giant salad crisp- eat straight out of the tin with a fork
also squeezes of merchant gourmet dulce de leche straight into my gob lol

also use patak madras jars, packet creamy pepper sauce for steaks(swartz)and bashed up bacon crisps for coating chicken

claricebeansmum · 30/10/2007 14:12

Nigella needs to admit that a cheese toastie is not cooking!

EmsMum · 30/10/2007 14:13

My mum always used to do 'dip bread' after cooking bacon&eggs for 'high tea'. I used to like it dipped and then toasted under the grill.

Is this a northern thing perchance? Not a culinary crime at all, but a regional dish?!

cremolafoamingatthemouth · 30/10/2007 14:14

agree that was shocking last night cbm!For heavens sake i don't know anyone who cant make a sandwich.
also sweetcorn soup for fifi cosi bruno mimi

LazyLinePainterJane · 30/10/2007 14:16

As discussed on another thread, risotto sandwiches.

Also, cheese and pickled onion sandwiches.

Adding marmite to cheese and beans on toast takes it to a whole new level!

cremolafoamingatthemouth · 30/10/2007 14:16

i remember my nana doing that dipping thing for my grandpa

claricebeansmum · 30/10/2007 14:17
