I was looking for vegan cake recipes, and found this. Ok, it's not vegan, but it is bloody scary ... what on earth would that taste like?

omg that sounds gross

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 13:50

I am almost tempted to make it, just to find out

yuk rather you than me

meandmyflyingmachine · 30/06/2007 13:59

I made Hugh F-W's meat mince pies last christmas for my carnivorous step father. He loved them.

LoveAngel · 30/06/2007 17:26

Pork cake? vomiting icon

I don't know the recipe (thank God) but I did have a paricularly nasty spinach pie at a colleague's house once. It was truly awful and basically consisted of soggy canned spinach (tins and tins of the stuyff) incased in dry wholemel pastry. Popeye would have barfed, I'm telling you - it was ming with a capital M.

TheArmadillo · 30/06/2007 17:32

that looks vile.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 17:33

The whole disgusting recipe thing has reminded me of this, which I'm glad to see is still online.

'Fluffy Mackerel Pudding'. Yum!

That site is a work of genius.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 17:39

I like this. Well 'like' isn't quite the right word ...

Try again.

The worse food I have ever eaten has to be a toss up between the celery burgers with salad with rice and NO DRESSING, nothing. Was so dry I considered pouring water over it. THey refused to let us have anything to put on it.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 17:42

Who is 'they'?

I'd have a hard time figuring out what the worst food I've eaten was ... I was raised by wolves, and had some truly alarming meals as a child.

They are the people who ran the boarding house thing we stayed in on a school trip.

It was truly a memorable meal.

Mercy · 30/06/2007 18:37

I love that site!

Came across this one a while ago whilst looking for casserole recipes

yummy!

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 18:39

Ok, that's scary. WTF is cheddar cheese soup? Does it come from Cheddar?

Do you remember the two fat ladies making a savoury summer pudding with tomatoes etc - it looked absolutely vile.
My mu used to have cookery books from the 60s and 70s with hideous moulds, rice in jelly or stuff in aspic.
The very worst thing I ever had was at lunch with my great aunt - it was cold steak and kidney - no pie or anything - just like a pile of Pal - totally gross.

perpetuaphoenixfire · 30/06/2007 18:43

Mercy that is genius!

When the choice between cheeseburger with fries and casserole is too hard - why not combine them into one recipe

I have never heard of cheddar cheese soup.

Something makes me glad I've never tasted it.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 18:50

Califrau, you're in the right country, you have to try cheddar cheese soup.

OP posts:
Mercy · 30/06/2007 18:53

NotQuiteCockney · 30/06/2007 18:54

Pork Cake sounds vaguely pornographic.

Blutwurst ... now that is truly gross. I ordered one in Switzerland last year. The place was almost deserted and all the staff were staring at me, so I felt obliged to eat it.

F* me, but that's the worse thing I ever tasted in my entire life.
