I just do not stop eating.

I am always thinking about when I will be eating next and just love food.

I am piling the pounds on and really not sure how to manage it.

I know I need to cut calorie intake as I hate my body but then to cheer myself up I reach for the crisps, choc, biscuits etc. Vicious circle

I ahve had the juices for Break fast (which he advces to do for life) and lub=nch , but haven't really lived the rest of it...still had my junk and normal food the otehr meals and in between...but now that I know how I feel after the juices, it really makes me aware of just how sugary and sickly chocoalte actualy is, and how I feel after say Pizza...
and I do feel better after the Juices...
I got all my Jason Vale Books from E-bay, btw...which helped....

Frascati · 14/04/2007 21:45

snowwonder · 14/04/2007 21:46

ok i am going to seach for some juicing recipes, and try them in my blender, brekkie and lucnh would be a great start

3andnomore · 14/04/2007 21:49

well...I am a seriously lazy person, but if you clean the juicer when you just used it, then it's no hassle...
I am actually doing a blog on this, as I go...so, if you liek me to link you to it when I do the proper thing, and I will write down what I am doing, then that will give you an idea...
But juicing truely has i';s benefits...
bought my FIL hte easy health cyclone juicer form E_bay and he is very pleased, and am going to get myself one of them...because my Jack Lalenne isn't all that, lol!
The easy health one has, I think 5 partsd to clean, my Jack lalene has 7 parts...but most of it is just rinsing, if you do it right away..I suppose people jsut have to remember that if we cook it also involved cleaning...
however,if you go for juicing, get a whole fruit juicer...it does save on preparation

3andnomore · 14/04/2007 21:50

Bleneder great for sof=t fruit and to make smoothies!
Shopbought Juices are no good, as they have been pasteurised which means all the good ness is dead...freshly expressed juice is "alive"....

3andnomore · 14/04/2007 22:00

sorry about spelling...wine does that to me...lol....remember I won't have any of it for the next few weeks!

snowwonder · 14/04/2007 22:13

just looked on which and they rate the philips and the antony worrell tompson juicers highly,

3andnomore · 14/04/2007 22:17

which Anthony warrol thompson one?
The philiips one is still going high price on E-bay, cheaper on Amazone)..but not been able to find a warrol thompson review...I think!

snowwonder · 14/04/2007 22:36

it is the je15, came out as a best buy on which, the philpis hr1861 is 100 in argos, it is cheaper on amazon and on currys

3andnomore · 14/04/2007 22:41

thank you, shall hae a look at teh warrol thomson one, aswell!
Like I said my fil was so impressed by his easy health cyclone one (which you can get for £40 on E-bay) that he had one send to my SIL aswelll...and it is one I am considering getting too....but will look intot hat warrol thomson one!
The Philips one you can get for £74 on Amazon, which is the cheapest, really, as E_bay does have that price + p&P on top of that...and at argos it is almost £100..at argos additions it's &) though and add p&p

snowwonder · 14/04/2007 22:44

3andnomore · 14/04/2007 22:49

So has anyone done the Jason Vale 7lbs in 7 days diet? I really need a huge kickstart and I think that might be the way (struggling away for a week finding you've only lost 1lb at the end of it is sooooo disheartening after a while) I think if I could shift the Easter lbs and then carry on with WW I would be ready for summer. Sooooooooooo...

could someone tell me what I need to buy before hand. I've ordered the book but I want to get all the bit and pieces I need (supplements etc) I already have a very good juicer and a blender so I'm set there. Thanks very much to anyone who can help! Looking forward to the up and running Frascati and friends thread on Monday

snowwonder · 15/04/2007 08:27

3 and no more has been doing the juice healthy eating (not going to say diet cause that makes me want to eat)

i have been looking for juicer, the one on ebay looks great but i need to get it now i cant wait for delivery etc....

anthony worrell tompson one is £20 (so is now 69.97) off in argos, but i noticed it is made be breville, and there is another breville whole fruit juicerc item number 422/8424 which is £45.00 - so i think i willl get this one,

any great recipes greatly recieved

3andnomore · 15/04/2007 19:39

There is someone on mn that did the 7Ibs in 7 days, but can't think of the mn.id...!
I will start it tomorrow folloewed by teh 14 days turbi charge, and will let you know how I get on
What you need...
generally a Juicer of course and a Blender
The Book makes it really easy as it has 2 shoppinglists for all teh ingredients...so, one thing less to have to work out!
I bought Wheatgrass powder and Spirulina and Alfalfa powder (couldn't get hold of Alfalfa sprouts ) at following online shop:
it was the cheapest I could find
their service was ever so quick
Bought Acidophulous (sp?) capsules and Psylliam Husk powder from Holland&Barrets...!
You will also have to think of exercise stuff...i.e. have exercise Videos or maybe equipment... or schedulein walks...something like that!
He does advice to buy the turbocharge book, too...although he does outline the next 2 weeks after the initial Juice detox plan in the 7Ibs in 7 days books!
Can't think of anything else right now...
I am really excitedand really looking forward to doing it.

As for Juicers...really do your research...wish I had given myself more time...you really want a Juicer that has 600W or more...! Amazon has a fair few reviews on different ones...some of the Breville ones don't have to good reviews...but then the Jack Lalenne one had quite good ones, and obviously I don't think it is that great.
YOu really want to get a Juicer that can take whole fruits...that really does cut down on the time!

For anyone going into Jucing without Jasons book...one thing is for sure, you got to give your Juicer a kitchen space, if you put it away in a cupboard it's to much faff and gonna get forgotten. And clean it straight after you finished Juicing (Jason Vale also suggests you eve dry it straightaway and ut it back together...buit I just let it dripdry for a while....)....if you leave it to dry on it's gonna be a nightmare to clean, which won't encourage you using it!
Sorry am rambling!
Gonna set a Frascati and friends thread up, right now...incase I don't get to log on until tomorrow evening!

3andnomore · 15/04/2007 19:40

Oh, and the girl I E-bayed teh Book from told me that she had just finished doing the plan and lost 9Ibs in that 1 week...how amazing is that!

3andnomore · 15/04/2007 19:46

link to Frascati and Friends on a weightloss mission thread
Hope that is o.k.!
And snowwonder, saw your thread there...about recipes, hope you looked at all those links, tehey have plenty of recipe ideas

Londonmamma · 15/04/2007 19:56

Girls - I have tried SO hard to stay off your thread, said to myself 'leave them to it'.

You're making the classic mistake that took me 17 years to work out. If you have a problem with food, i.e. if you eat to smother your emotions, a diet will not work. You will get a temporary high, then you will binge, then you will feel crap.

Right, I'm leaving now. Good luck all xxx

3andnomore · 15/04/2007 20:01

londonmami, Jason Vale is not a quick fix man, as such, he wants the long term commitment...but he also realises that achieving something quick will really help you getting motivated!
IN his books he really goes into issues like emotional addiction etc...

3andnomore · 15/04/2007 20:02

Jiucing is meant to be part of ones life for life...etc...

Londonmamma · 15/04/2007 20:07

OK thanks 3andnomore, I just feel so strongly that I don't want people to suffer like I did, always trying new diets etc. As long as you work on WHY you overeat ....Best of luck.

3andnomore · 15/04/2007 20:09

London mamma..for what it's worth, seeing that you have gotten through it...it would be great if you could have a look at the other thread, and chip in with tips and hints, etc....!
Espeically as everyone will probably be doing different plans...it be good if you do pick up on "wrongs" and tell us, if we do go wrong...iykwim...
