i would probably eat at least one box - that's why i don't have such things in my fridge

NomDePlume · 23/06/2006 09:05

No, but then I don't like doughnuts anyway, AND the horrible gimmicky American spelling makes me want to gag. Shut the fridge and have something else.

catj · 23/06/2006 09:05

Only one?

trinityrhino · 23/06/2006 09:05

definitely eat thm, I have never had onebut heard theyare lush

zippitippitoes · 23/06/2006 09:06

are they very sweet, as i don't have a particularly sweet tooth so I might regret it and be cross with myself..

and on the other hand would it be technically stealing..I presume that my ds girlfriend paid for them

on the other hand she seems to have moved in (has been here a month and most weekends since the beginning of the year)

I've tried them and they are very, very sweet. Apparently they are baked, so not quite as lardy (fatwise) as our deep fried uk ones, but they must have half a tonne of sugar in them. Way too sickly for me. Don't eat them!!!!

warthog · 23/06/2006 09:36

hmmm we used to get krispy kremes every friday at work. at first everyone was eating two or three but after a couple of months no-one wanted them. they were just too fake and too sweet. they're a once or twice a year thing ime

themoon66 · 23/06/2006 09:37

Where can I buy them?? I've never ever seen one in the supermarkets.

zippitippitoes · 23/06/2006 09:38

they went to Birmingham yesterday so I guess they came from selfridges..probably not much help!

OP posts:
fuzzywuzzy · 23/06/2006 09:42

some tescos branches do them, and bluewater shopping centre have a krispy kreme place where you can watch them being made..... try one I thik they're really nice but couldn't personally eat an entire box....

themoon66 · 23/06/2006 09:45

Not likely to be doing my weekly big shop in selfridges and our tesco is a tiny one. Guess I shall have to stick with hobnobs for my sugar fix.

NotAnOtter · 23/06/2006 09:46

i feel sick at the thought

zippitippitoes · 23/06/2006 09:50

I probably shouldn't eat them on the grounds of them being more americanisation of our culture

OP posts:
EmmyLou · 23/06/2006 10:27

You probably shouldn't eat one on the grounds of public corruption of spelling'n'probably grammar too, but what the hell. Would love to say i wouldn't but unfortunately I would wade on in like the greedy mamma I am, and even hide them from the kids too. Oh and I would also lie about scoffing and say "it wasn't me!"

JackieNo · 23/06/2006 10:28

Somebody said they're good if you warm them in the microwave - not too long, as presumably if they have a filling it could get too hot.

UberCodofWashingFame · 23/06/2006 10:30

they are TOOOOOOO sweet imo

yes in my where does this unsolicited and useless info part of my brain about products I never would otherwise come across..I thought you were supposed to eat them hot and fresh straight from the oven..

so I thought perhaps someone would say don't bother as they are now past their best
