Pinwheels are lovely and look so pretty. Just flatten a piece of bread with a rolling pin (you do have a rolling pin??) cut crusts off and roll up. Wrap tightly in clingfilm in fridge for an hour or so if poss, then they don't unroll. Cut in tiny slices. People ooh and ah.

Veggie pakoras with raita? Can be eaten warmish.

I don't like piled-up and fussy stuff. How about some mini bagels with dill cream cheese and smoked salmon? Easy to eat.

Do the cocktail sausage thing but fry them in a honey glazey thing and put them in a big flat platter with a home made tomato sauce.

Or go to waitrose and get their blinis and make some smoked salmon and soft cheese doo dahs...

Sausage and mash (not practical if not at your house) 0r Fish and Chips (in little portions) - according to my mag these are very trendy food at the mo???
Fine wine and bloody good cheese (the deli round from my house (little use to you though) does a very yummy chilli sheep's cheese - yummy!

As evyerone on mumsnet knows you are ubercool - so therefore anything you take will surely by default be "uber"....
