Dip some of the strawberries in melted cheese - savoury as well as sweet - can't fail.

(Wonder why nobody ever asks me to bring things?)

Actually...do brie and strawberry platter - DH says it's nice, but I loathe brie, so couldn't say Grin

My answer to everything - dukkah - (Egyptian spice mix) - take little pot of olive oil - take pittas or even better, make doughballs (peasy in breadmaker), people dip them in the olive oil, then in dukkah. Not hot spices so kids can eat it too.

Have recipe if you want (need a coffee grinder thing, otherwise easy)

cod · 26/04/2006 18:31

Or some nice dips and fancy tortillas- the ones that are......um fancy.

Home made pizza ( you could pre-buy the bases at he deli counter in your supermarket to cheat a bit)Then you could show off with a veggie one and a meaty one- but give them fancy names.
Sorry just saw cold- am not liking cold pizza.

FrannyandZooey · 26/04/2006 18:36

I think part of the problem may be that you cannot possibly be an uber mum unless you bake your own bread

Wink

Greensleeves · 26/04/2006 18:37

home-made truffles?

crush up packet of biscuits (digestives are good, or custard creams) finely in bowl (or use blender)

add 1 large tbsp cocoa powder and 1 cup sieved icing sugar

rub in butter until it's the right consistency to roll into a ball, like dough

form into little balls and roll in chocolate strands//cocoa

put in little sweet cases

NOT healthy but very tasty :)
