Would you like to help us test recipes for the Mumsnet Cookbook?

Shhh .. don't tell everyone but we're working on a top secret new project in the form of The Mumsnet Cookbook and we need your help.

We'd like to get together a Mumsnet Cookbook cookery group to stop us from piling on the pounds help us test these shortlisted recipes.

Each volunteer will be allocated a recipe which they'll then cook for their family and give us some feedback on how easy, hard, good, bad, expensive etc they are and whether they'd make it again. All the recipes chosen were submitted over the years by Mumsnetters, so there shouldn't be any outlandish Shock or particularly difficult to source ingredients - and they should all be pretty easy to make (we hope!).

As a thank-you, we'll be putting everyone who helps out into a prize draw to win a Bloomsbury cookbook.

And if that's not enough of an incentive, everyone who helps will have their *Mumsnetter nickname featured in the cookbook's acknowledgements.

Can do the Mushroom & Brocolli soup if needed?

DialMforMummy · 23/10/2012 19:30

Can do the pilaff. When is it due in, miss?
(off most of next week)

DialMforMummy · 23/10/2012 19:31

And the sticky toffee pudding too. Rich and sweet, right up my street!

snowballinashoebox · 23/10/2012 20:37

I'll do the tortila please.

mrspink27 · 24/10/2012 09:43

CatherineHMumsnet not sure what is left... but am happy to do pilaf, frittatas or breakfast bars...

Elkieb · 24/10/2012 14:20

Tortilla sounds lovely, will report back next week x

CatherineHMumsnet · 24/10/2012 16:06

Dial M for Mummy - great pilaff and sticky toffee for you

Snowballinashoebox - thanks - tortilla would be great.

Dorset Knob - if you could do the pea soup too that would be useful.

Melty - I have you down for the broccoli and mush soup.

Mrs Pink - would you do the pilaff too please?

As for feedback - would be very handy if we could have all feedback forms filled in by end of half term (Sunday week).

mrspink27 · 24/10/2012 17:46

Yes will do!

Scootergrrrl · 24/10/2012 18:09

I can do another test recipe if more testing is needed!

CatherineHMumsnet · 25/10/2012 09:20

Scootergrrl - could you do the Thai banana pudding?

OP posts:
DialMforMummy · 25/10/2012 09:28

A week on Sunday, no problem.

zipzap · 25/10/2012 10:25

Catherine - I've just pm'd you to say I can do the one you pm'd me but shout if you want anything else testing!

CatherineHMumsnet · 25/10/2012 17:10

Just popping in to say I'm away for half term, so I won't be able to respond to any emails or PMs over the coming week. But do keep the recipes/feedback and photos coming!

Has anyone got the link we are supposed to use for adding our feedback? So efficient after doing the slow cooked brisket that I've deleted the relevant feedback information!

MrsJohnDeere · 31/10/2012 10:26

Bumping for the link. I need to add feedback for my second recipe (Thai broth - was delicious!).

gazza :) Long time, no see. How's life? Grin

Another super-efficient-deleting-feedback-emails-after-posting-review problem here (especially after the grim grim grim mcgrimness of the pasta crisps....best deleted and forgotten....).....can anyone please post the feedback link? It's the same one each time....

Gave the dcs rainbow salmon pasta tonight - it went down an absolute storm with all 3 :) Superbly easy, too. Hurrah - a new weeknight favourite!

gazzalw · 01/11/2012 08:25

Hello Fillybuster! Love your ghostly moniker de jour!

Curiously enough we were talking to the DCs about Ghostbusters and realised they've never seen it ....will have to remedy that!

Believe it or not our DCs have rediscovered the XBox after about a six month hiatus....We never did get our 15 seconds of fame with the ad did we???

I laughed at your pasta crisps description - YUK, YUK, YUK...sounds like the recipe of someone who seriously doesn't like food! Good that you came good with the rainbow salmon pasta (sounds yummy!)

Isn't Catherine away until next week so we may just be drumming our fingers on the table for a few more days unless anyone else gives us the link (grovels on all fours!)

Melty · 01/11/2012 21:48

Its here:
Linky

Catherine posted it on Tue 09-Oct-12 10:23:04 (I read my threads on one page so its easy to scroll back.)

Feedback for second recipe completed and the photo will be winging its way to you this weekend!
