Who else is ONLY having pancakes for tea tomorrow?

I gave up trying to keep pancakes as deserts last year, & for one day put out Ice Cream, melted choc, Bananas, maple syrup, lemon, sugar, etc etc & made pancakes until they had had enough.

They all thought it fab, & it's only one day :)

Anyone else do this?

We do!

Mumbojumbo · 27/02/2006 17:44

Going to try and only do pancakes. Had a rehersal a couple of weeks ago - fab! Last week - dire!

intergalacticwalrus · 27/02/2006 17:44

We do too. Having 10 pancakes then eating tea is just bloody greedy IMHO.

Bring on the lemon juice and sugar I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Milliways · 27/02/2006 17:44

WOW Haufraw! Thought my lot ate loads!

DS went to a church pancake party on Saturday - one nice (mad) lady let all the 10-13 year olds toss & eat pancakes in her house!

Yes pancakes only in this house, but will be offering mushrooms, cheese, bacon, tomatoes for first course ones, then whatever anybody brings for pudding ones, we are having a pancake party.

zippitippitoes · 27/02/2006 18:24

spinach and cream cheese is nice and bolognese sauce, but lemon and sugar is the best the only time i use sugar on anything

heymammy · 27/02/2006 18:29

I'm sure to be doing pancakes tomorrow but probably for lunch.

Got a great recipe for Cheese & Sweetcorn pancakes which always go down a treat in this house. Followed, of course, by more pancakes with choc spread and bananas.

MMMMMmmmmmm :)

spacecadet · 27/02/2006 18:32

only pancakes for tea tomorrow, its only one day after all!

Flibbertygibbet · 27/02/2006 18:42

We've always done "just pancakes" but then last year we just couldn't keep up with their appetites, and got really bored of cooking pancakes!

So this year we had pasta and garlic bread first, then pancakes. DS2 bowed out after just 2 (large) pancakes, and ds1 only managed 3!

(We had pancakes yesterday as dh is going away tomorrow for the week Sad and we've got a busy day tomorrow anyway.)

RedRidingHood · 27/02/2006 18:44

Usually we just eat as many pancakes as we can and nothing else - just maple syrup and lemon and sugar but only me and dd tomorrow so will be waiting til next week.

cheltenhamgal · 27/02/2006 19:31

oooh definately just pancakes for dinner, as we will both have eaten a cooked meal for lunch. With lots of lemon and sugar mmmmmmmmmmmm :)

NomDePlume · 27/02/2006 19:32

Not us, no pancakes at all.

iota · 27/02/2006 19:33

oooh I hope dh is home to cook them tomorrow - he's our resident expert Grin

muma3 · 27/02/2006 19:35

we do and i mentioned this to a friend of mine and she said
" if i gave my dd's just pancakes they would ask "where's thier dinner?""
i think they are the greedy ones imo
just pancakes in this house and not even savoury ones we have sugar and lemon and maybe jam too .
like spacecadet said its only one day !!! Grin

purplemonkeydishwasher · 27/02/2006 19:39

We often have pancakes for dinner. With Sausages and maple syrop of course! But it's the thick Canadian pancakes so you don't eat that many.

MerlinsBeard · 27/02/2006 19:39
