Today I am making a chicken soup from the carcass and leftovers from the jerk roast chicken I made yesterday and added Pearl Barley, that soup mix stuff that has lentils, peas oats and such, some pearl barley and asparagus with a can of sweetcorn. I added some chilli flakes and jerk seasoning to give it more kick.

Trying something new/made up...left over piripiri chicken, garlic, chilli, sundried tomatoes, maybe mushrooms stirred into taglietelle.

thestringcheesemassacre · 14/05/2012 16:25

Asparagus with lemony butter parmesan sauce
and some chipolatas.
Maybe some tomatos and avocado.

Bit of a mixed platter of leftovers.

I've never tried it before.

ZuleikaJambiere · 14/05/2012 16:29

Asparagus is popular today - we're having it too! Asparagus cream tagliatelle, probably followed by melon and some cake

SquishyCinnamonSwirls · 14/05/2012 16:37

Dirty rice sounds great!

DD's having tomato soup with tiger bread as she's feeling poorly. I've got sweet chilli chicken and rice.

bibbitybobbitybunny · 14/05/2012 16:38

Spaghetti with home-made pancetta and mushroom pasta sauce for ds.

DH and I will have the sauce mixed with cooked penne, covered in wilted spinach, topped with cheese and breadcrumbs and baked.

(ds doesn't like spinach, sigh, otherwise we would all have the same).

Annunziata · 14/05/2012 16:42

Chicken soup too, then stuffed peppers because they're DS's favourite and he had an exam today, poor soul. Don't know what else to do.

supernannyisace · 14/05/2012 16:43

Roast chicken with roast potatoes, veggies and gravy!

Was meant to do that yesterday - but when I got the chicken out it had gone off! Not nice !

So we dialled an indian takeaway instead.

I bought another chicken by the way ;)

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 14/05/2012 16:45

Roast smoked gammon, new baby potatoes, cabbage, carrots and swede. With lashing of parsley sauce. Am starving now Grin

Kellamity · 14/05/2012 16:48

Homemade chicken and mushroom pie (with bought pastry), dauphinoise potatoes and veg (leftover from yesterday!)

winnybella · 14/05/2012 16:48

DS (10) is making the supper tonight. It'll be fried eggs, boiled new potatoes and green beans. Yesterday he made salmon pasta. It's a new thing for him, I'm liking it Grin

FeministPixie · 14/05/2012 16:51

I am contemplating adding some cubed chorizo to my soup, but that may monkey with the Caribbean flavour I have going on.

Sod it, I'm going to do it!

My DP is not a fussy eater. (thank Ceiling Cat.)

Winny good job on getting the DS in the kitchen at an early age!

I have met sooo many guys who cannot cook properly. (think bung it in oven/microwave for every meal.)
