I mostly cook from scratch as cooking is my only real hobby, but there is too much on at work right now, so I bought ready made meatballs from the Co-op and have mixed that with jarred pasta sauce.
But usually I cook fresh, which means during the week it is mostly grilled lamb/chicken/steak with veg.
Weekends I go all out. Last weekend we had duck confit which I made from scratch- takes 3 days of fiddling. (Raymond Blanch recipe). Naturally though, the DCs prefer it when dad cooks twice a week when I am on lates and they have fish fingers and baked beans.
