Apparenatly, i should be eatign peanut butter to get protein now i'm PG.

good plan - haven't had it for years, but recall quite liking it when Ihad it last.

Just sent DH to get some.
he got to the shop and texted me "smooth or crunchy?"
Confused how the hell am i supposed to know?

Which do you prefer?
(i just know whatever he gets, i'll decide i don't like the texutre....)

Crunchy.

Smooth is Wrong.

NettoSuperstar · 28/03/2011 14:49

smooth, as I can't stand the bits in my teeth.

Oakmaiden · 28/03/2011 14:49

ah - you see I used to have crunchy as a child, but bought smooth for my ds (who has big food texture issues) and now far prefer smooth.

Needanewname · 28/03/2011 14:50

crunchy

catinthehat2 · 28/03/2011 14:51

crunchy
smooth lodges in the roof of your mouth for days

nethunsreject · 28/03/2011 14:54

The best is whole nut stuff - Whole Earth do a fabulous one.

KnottyLocks · 28/03/2011 14:55

Crunchy.

Can build houses with the smooth stuff.

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 14:57

he got crunchy.

Now i just have to find out if i like the lumps (although, my brain is saying that i will like the crunchy)
(and so does the thread!)

Do carry on telling me which is best though Grin

Both are great, just make sure it hasn't got palm oil in.

upahill · 28/03/2011 14:59

Also have a nice fresh piece of crusty bread, lots of peanut butter either crunchy or smooth it doesn't matter, and stawberry jam.

No wonder I have a carb problem!!

MerryMarigold · 28/03/2011 15:00

My dh didn't want me to have peanut butter when pg. One of those potential one in a million thingies about causing allergies. Not sure if it's true. Did sneak the odd satay in Grin!

Definitely crunchy. The best one is Natural Peanut Butter Company (Tesco have it). Has nothing except peanuts in. Don't like Whole Earth one, tastes like they left the skins on.

MerryMarigold · 28/03/2011 15:01

Ooooooooooooooooh, peanut butter with baguette!

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 15:01

why not palm oil? Confused

what does palm oil do?

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 15:02

Merry - the nhs pregnancy book recommends it - esp to veggies.

neither, the thought of either disgusts me

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 15:04

i've just checked - it's Sunpat and it doesn't have palm oil in it.

Smooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth

wahwahwah · 28/03/2011 15:05

Crunchy. One with no added salt or fat. Palm oil is nasty stuff the clogs your arteries. I am suspicions of anything that lists 'vegetable fat' because it is usually Palm as it is cheap.

Peanut butter on hot buttered toast - yummy yum yum.

Nickel, bummer I have finished having babies now Sad! Still, I didn't let dh boss me about the last time.

Try that Natural one, it is the best, and I am not a 'natural'-y type of person (tastes best on white bread!), but it's just got a great flavour and you have an easy conscience.

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 15:15

i will try it when the sunpat has run out (see how quickly it runs out - he's just made me a cheese and pickle sandwich, so god knows when i'll get to try it!)

See, until a year ago I would have said crunchy. And then I damaged the inside of my mouth on some (seriously) and now I have defected to smooth.

Think I'll go and have a pb and jam on toast now. Raspberry though. Strawberry is evil.
