Custard creams.

I have a friend who loves strawberry jelly and carnation milk. Same age as me. DH retains a love for butterscotch angel delight.

Anyone else ready to confess?

Oooh Findus Crispy Pancakes were lovely, especially the savoury mince ones. I bet my girls would like them too. I'd have to swear them to secrecy if I gave them those for tea. Would would the neighbours ( and MN) think Grin

notskiving - not to mention a really great way to get yourself a tapeworm!

another banana sandwich fan here - and butterscotch Angel Delight. And Birds Trifle.

My mum always did at least two kinds of Fluff for birthday parties. Lime was a cosmopolitan choice round our way.

Ooh, lots of memories. I miss:
Angel Delight
Findus Crispy Pancakes (a treat when visiting friends)
Vienetta
Blancmange
Milk jelly (like previously mentioned fluff but with normal milk)
Dandelion and burdock in a glass bottle from the milkman (only allowed on a Friday)

I still much prefer salad cream to mayonnaise.

Heinz tinned beans & sausage.
Angel Delight made with evaporated milk (posh AD!).
Evaporated milk full stop!
Heinz tinned sponge puddings.
Squirty cream.
Heinz toast toppers.

Corned beef fritters.

We do eat cripsy pancakes regularly. I got some form of toast topper last week but I would pay good money for some angel delight.

creamola foam
vesta beef curry

Viennetta is a strange thing. My brother invited us for dinner one evening and as he's not a 'dessert person' he didn't know what to do so he bought a Viennetta. He got it out of the freezer and no-one ate any....the next morning he found the very same viennetta on the table, still in the same shape. It hadn't melted just gone warm. I mean what do they make it with so that it doesn't melt....it's supposed to be icecream!!

You can get savoury pancakes here...they are foul. But I too remember the minced beef ones.

Vesta chow mein, whenever I put in an order from british corner shop I chuck a box in. Heaven. (salty heaven, but those crispy noodles are still wonderful)

Those Fray Bentos pies were lovely too. My Gran used to make me up a food parcel to take back to uni, kilos of bicarb and dried peas and FB pies.

weasle · 02/02/2011 20:23

salt and vinegar chipsticks and cheesy wotsits were my main nutrition in the first trimester! only things i could keep down!

I still love vienetta and served it as dessert last year Blush as a sort of joke but i do love it!

my ds1 is developing a tinned spaghetti hoop habit.

do they still make cheesy crispy pancakes? Damn, i would have loved to have eaten those when pg.

Portofino · 02/02/2011 20:35

Kreecher - I could post you some Angel Delight, or get a stock in pre-meetup?

I love practically everything mentioned already!

I still love a pineapple or mushy pea fritter. And Square crisps.

Portofino · 02/02/2011 20:35

And steak and kidney pudding out of a tin.

McDreamy · 02/02/2011 20:38
