QUICK SURVEY
Do you have a large free standing freezer, possibly in your utility room or the garage. One where you store larger quantities of frozen goods?

What percentage of your friends do you think have one?

You see I'm just considering a business idea but it revolves around selling larger quantities of delicious premium food to people who have access to a large freezer at home.

Many thanks.

hogshead · 22/11/2010 18:32

sparklyjewlz · 22/11/2010 18:37

Have large chest freezer, American style fridge-freezer in kitchen and largish fridge with freezer compt in cellar. BUT, live in SW France.

Hulababy · 22/11/2010 18:43

No

ToothpasteMakesMeGag · 22/11/2010 19:00

yes, Cambs, and its full of home made dishes, soups, pots of stock/gravy, and loaves of bread. I cook from scratch and freeze the extras

1234ThumbScrew · 22/11/2010 19:02

No, the only people I know who have them are my parents generation. Cheshire.

1234ThumbScrew · 22/11/2010 19:03

Oh - I forgot to say that I have considered getting one tbh.

LadyViper · 22/11/2010 19:08

No

I know one person who does.

BarkisIsWilling · 22/11/2010 19:08

No

FattyArbuckel · 22/11/2010 19:11

I don't have one

My parents do but fill it with their own produce and wouldn't buy "delicious premium food"

ragged · 22/11/2010 19:17

No, don't have any kind of freezer... well, an icebox compartment in the little fridge, does that count?
I assume that only about 1% of people I know in the UK have a large upright freezer. I presume that most... maybe overwhelming majority of my American friends and relatives have one.

ItsJustMyOpinion · 22/11/2010 19:21

No, but I have 1 fridgefreezer and 1 small free standing freezer.

And we have 2 large free standing freezers at work. Im in Wiltshire

lizziemun · 22/11/2010 19:40

yes I have a free standing freezer in the garage.

But DH wanted a american fridge/freezer when we had the kitchen done and the freezer part isn't big enough for how we live.

I use the kitchen freezer for everyday bits. Frozen veg and bits for the dc.

Takver · 22/11/2010 19:49

No, no freezer at all. In Wales

My parents do - full of fish my Dad catches & mum's cooking
Do know some friends who do, but only ones who produce either a lot of garden produce or their own meat.

Me too, second single freezer in the garage for extra btches of home cooking, frozen fruit and (at the moment) Christmas goodies. It supplements fridge freezer in the kitchen. Most others I know have a similar arrangement.

SpringHeeledJack · 22/11/2010 20:29

know one person (under 60) who does- my SIL Grin

we did have one- but I decided to bin it after the THIRD TIME "d"p left the FUCKING DOOR OPEN

SpringHeeledJack · 22/11/2010 20:30

sorry for shouting. it was about four years ago but I evidently still have issues

nannyl · 22/11/2010 20:54

No

but i want one and i know i will get one eventually.

As someone who only buys good quality fresh food (but has lots of yummy homemade concoctions on the freezer too) i really need more freezer space

notasize10yetbutoneday · 23/11/2010 09:03

No. None of my friends do, but Mum does. Suspect it could be a generational hoarding thing? Live in the North East.

notasize10yetbutoneday · 23/11/2010 09:03

Good manners- I work in s-o-t!
