I was so looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. Good nods to the original, genuinely funny and no one looks a day older (how?). Anyone else?

I'm glad to hear it's good! We (daughters, daughters-in-law, and I) had a "Girls' night in" last week to watch the original; my youngest daughter-in-law is only 23 and had never seen it. Next Saturday, we're having a "Girls' Night Out" to see the sequel and have dinner. I'm really looking forward to it!

I really enjoyed it too, great cast & cityscapes!

Loved it - I even shed a tear or two.

Glad to hear it's good, I watched the original with DD15 last weekend and we're saving the new one for an end of exams celebration day out in 3 weeks.

I thought it was disappointing though, no spoilers but no comparison to the original. Miranda was quite wet whereas in the first, was very sharp.

just watched it today - no big drama, but outfits and the choice of cast didn’t disappoint! I tried not to compare it too much and enjoyed it <3

I thought the same but also maybe more realistic that she’s softened with age a bit?

I saw it tonight. Really enjoyed it – apart from the completely pointless love interest storyline. Why do they feel they have to insert one into so many films? It added nothing.

Seeing it next week, really looking forward to it. It was a great cast first time round and I'm really pleased they are in the second.

We enjoyed it, it was a good way to spend a couple of hours but it wasn’t amazing.

I saw it Friday night and absolutely loved it, I thought it was great! It's not as good the first one, but realistically, could it ever be? The cast were brilliant and looked incredible!

I let DD10 watch the original for the first time recently, and we we went to see the sequel this weekend. Loved it! I was worried it would be a damp squib but it was a lot of fun. Emily Blunt was extremely funny and had the best lines.

I agree with pp who said it was let down by the random romance storyline though. There was no chemistry between them and it added nothing to the plot.

I thought it was terrible. The fashion and the make up in particular were really bad. The cityscapes were beautiful, particularly Milan. I hated what they did with Emily. I am so disappointed in the whole film.

As a piece of film art it was not good.

but as an enjoyable Sunday afternoon cinema treat it was my most enjoyed film this year (behind k pop demon hunters)

Poor. Not a patch on the original. Zero panache.

Went to see it yesterday, an ok la la film for a Sunday afternoon, but not as good as the original.

Some of the clothes were nice but dear god what was that Haberdashery Jacket Miranda wore, did she get lost in John Lewis curtain dept?

And Anne Hathaway really did annoy me for some reason.

I thought it was ok. The cameos certainly helped interest levels! They did a great job of giving you a feel good ending so that people would leave with a really positive outlook, but the story itself was just ok.

I enjoyed it up but anne was annoyingly chirpy throughout. Also hated what they did to Emily!

I went with zero expectations, and did really enjoy it. It was never going to be as good as the original because it wouldn't be possible to recreate that magic twice....I'm glad I saw it and did laugh quite a bit. I don't suppose I will rewatch it as often as I have the first one, but I'm definitely glad I went (and completely agree on the love interest plotline...)
