I was so looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. Good nods to the original, genuinely funny and no one looks a day older (how?). Anyone else?

Me and the DDs saw it this afternoon. Perfect Sunday afternoon viewing. I had low expectations so rather enjoyed it. I agree about the pointless Andy romance storyline. I didn’t spot Naomi C either. It’s was entertaining froth and I liked all the nod’s to the first film especially Andy’s last outfit. New York and Milan looked spectacular.

I thought it was ok, like 3 stars out of 5.
I got distracted by how young especially AH looked. She looked and acted like she was in her 20s and it was just a bit weird. I thought her character was just annoying and ruined the film.

@MariaMagdalenaa yes I agree. All that bright eyed innocent was fine in the first movie, but here she was meant to be in her early 40s and an experienced journalist. All that gawsh shucks capitalism sucks let me get this mahoosive apartment and wear designer clothes, was a bit tiresome. They could have let her character be slightly less irksome.

I enjoyed it and thought Anne Hathaway was fab as was Stanley tucci. I was less keen on modern day Miranda having lost her venom and seemingly confused about the modern world so you just feel abit sorry for her. Emily wasn’t quite as good either.

A nice throwback but as a stand alone film it would have panned.
