Has anyone else seen this film?

I went to the cinema to see it with my 17yr old and it is still going around in my head. It was funny, sad and gave me a lot to think about.

The basic story is a woman gets to see the different lives she could have lived by making different decisions.

If you saw it do you enjoy it?

Just come back from seeing it. Don’t really know what to say, I’ve never seen a movie like that before. It was astonishing, so so complex yet really coherent and genuinely hilarious. Shed a quiet year at the end also. My 16 yr old son was blown away, unique and thought provoking x

it’s sort of Sliding Doors with amazing martial arts fight scenes. Not the sort of film I’d generally go for but I really enjoyed it.

Agree with everything you’ve both said. DH and I went with our 17 year old. We were similarly blown away and continued discussing it on & off for about 48 hours afterwards. It captured the life of a harried middle aged woman, squeezed between work, kids and elders, brilliantly. We all agreed it was the most refreshing, imaginative and engaging film we’d seen in a long time.

I really enjoyed this film, so much to think about. Also really interesting to have a film about people you never see on screen normally.

It was crazy and I don't think i understood much of it. Michelle Yeoh is so beautiful and such a great actress!

I went to see it and thought it was one of those films that was really visually impressive. Love Michelle Yeoh and yet the premise of the film, was a curiously sweet and simple story. There were a few slightly gross bits which could have been left out! 😂

I loved it (though agree some questionable moments could have been dropped and we all know what I'm talking about). There aren't many films with middle aged characters front and centre that aren't syrupy feel good films. I saw it a while ago and it is still quite vivid.

I loved it, I laughed out loud where she got told she had the worst life, and the response was ‘it can’t be worse than hotdog finger version’.

As a family we’ve always loved Ratatouille and the little bit in the film that pays homage to the Disney classic was so funny

I absolutely loved this film - it was weird, beautiful, great fashion moments, action/romance/comedy/coming of age/sci-fi/philosophical - just brilliant! And so many twists and turns I didn't know where we were heading the whole time. 10/10

So pleased others have liked this film. I rarely meet anyone who has seen it.

I loved it too for all reasons stated above. Also cried at the end. The daughter reminded me of my own in a lot of ways.

@Downtherefordancing I saw it about a month ago and every now and then the Ratatouille reference pops in to my head and I laugh out loud!

Every time I think about this film I think Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh are really good sports, but Jamie Lee Curtis especially. The frankfurter hands scenes were just so out there.

My daughter and her best friend adore this film and want me to watch it. Really looking forward to it.

A bit shit tbh

I’ve watched it tonight and loved it! Spent half the film looking at Raymond thinking “where do I know you from?” before it dawned on me - Data from The Goonies!

Just watched this and thought it was brilliant. Any film that can make you cry because a rock rolls down a hill has something going for it. Would really recommend it.

Absolutely adored it, one of the most moving, crazy, philosophical and heart warming films I've ever seen. Also crazy. 😄

This film is included with Amazon Prime right now. I think I'll rewatch over the weekend.

Everyone was raving about this on TikTok so I RAN to see it at the cinema. I was so, so excited about it, and was massively disappointed. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that.

My partner and I saw it recently and loved it. It’s probably a bit marmite though, I can well imagine it’s not for everyone, as it’s a bit bonkers. I love Michelle Yeoh though, and JLC was great too, such a good sport, lol.
