Just seen Another Round, loved 'What a Life' in the closing scene, still humming it.

Also 'Angel of the Morning' in Promising Young Woman.

(Although you don't hear enough of it) Sweet Home Alabama in Con Air.

'Hocus Pocus' by Focus in Baby Driver.

Blister in the sun in Grosse Point Blank.

Who wants to live Forever? By Queen from Highlander. The film is cheese on a stick, but when this plays as Conors mortal wife dies in his arms, is utterly heartbreaking.

Comedycook · 23/07/2021 19:20

King of wishful thinking by Go west in pretty woman

Iso123 · 23/07/2021 19:57

Bob Dylan's Hurricane in Dazed and Confused

Agree with Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks, the scene with Mr Blue Sky is amazing.
I love the Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack. Stardust by Nat King Cole being a particular favourite, Bye Bye Blackbird by Joe Cocker and Make Someone Happy by Jimmy Durante.

"This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush in Shes having a baby. Makes me cry every time.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 28/07/2021 17:03

Another vote for Let the River Run in Working Girl. I live in NYC and used to listen to it on my commute Grin .

Likewise, Coming Around Again in Heartburn. I think I might just be a Carly Simon fan.

Oh and Hip to be Square in American Psycho. Disgusting, but brilliant.

Lcachu · 30/07/2021 15:48

Head over Heels - tears for fears (Donnie Darko)

Pure shores - all saints (the beach)

Kissing you - des'ree (Romeo and Juliet)

Was coming to say both of these. Just perfect.

Come on!
GCrebel · 31/07/2021 20:33

The sun ain't gonna shine any more, from Truly, Madly, Deeply.

Unchained Melody from Ghost.

drpet49 · 31/07/2021 20:59

King of wishful thinking by Go West. From Pretty Woman

ODFOx · 02/08/2021 15:18

Stuck in the Middle with You in the 'ear' scene in Reservoir Dogs.
Supermassive Black Hole in the baseball scene in Twilight.

bongsuhan · 02/08/2021 16:20

All of the songs in the Charlie's Angles Movie with Cameron Diaz/Lucy Liu/Drew Barrymore. Songs are all great - one of the best good mood compilations - and often cleverly/ironically commented the movie (Miami Vice theme when the fishing boat shows up).

ValerieMorghulis · 02/08/2021 16:28

Teenage Wedding in Pulp Fiction
Lovefool in Baz Luhrmann’s version of Romeo & Juliet is also perfect

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 02/08/2021 17:03

Maybe not a film - it was Peter Kay's Car Share!

Red Light Spells Danger, by Billy Ocean.

The uplifting feeling made me happy - but the ensuing scene made me cry. And I'm a man!

A gay man - but that's neither here nor there.

Still love the song though! I've listened to it so many times since.

yummytummy · 07/08/2021 19:59
