I didn't know that, I did read they had to change the ending of the film and OMD had to write another song and wrote 'If you leave' in twenty four hours. It suits the film perfectly.

Yes, Lavender, it’s never been my favourite OMD song but it does the job very well!

Obviously this is going to be controversial - but, I think it’s undeniable that one of the best ever uses of song in a film, that fitted the character and the whole atmosphere so well, is - Rock and Roll Part 2 in Joker.

The Assassin (renamed Point of No Return) with Bridget Fonda closes with Nina Simone, Feeling Good. I saw it once about 25 years ago but it was very powerful and sticks in my mind as the best movie ending ever.
