Fosterdog123 · 11/02/2018 17:51

Brad Pitt in pretty much everything, although I did enjoy Thelma & louise.

MrsJayy · 11/02/2018 17:55

Last thing I enjoyed Brad in wasinterview with a vampire I gasped Blush he was so beautiful

ShatnersBassoon · 11/02/2018 18:06

I thought Interview with the Vampire was a comedy when I first watched it. It was even funnier second time round.

MrsJayy · 11/02/2018 19:29

Tut shatners although Tom cruise was outstandingly bad in it

redexpat · 11/02/2018 19:42

Yy to Keira Knightley
Andi mcdowell
Daniel Radcliffe as HP although I saw him in rosencrantz and guildernstein are dead and he was vg. Also good in the russian doctors notebook.
Emma watson and rupert whatshisname are great in the last 2 hp films.
Kirsten Stewart. Pouts and flicks her hair everytime.
Yy to Nicolas Cage and adam sandler.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 12/02/2018 07:54

I didn't think Nicholas Cage was too bad in City of Angels - lots of standing around looking soulful, which is where his strengths lie Wink
I adore Keanu. Besides Bill&Ted is a work of total genius and he seems like such a lovely man.

otherdoor · 12/02/2018 07:57

I can't stand Anne Hathaway in One Day. Her "accent" drives me bonkers. To be fair I think she's fine in other films so I guess she was just miscast in that one.

Bananmanfan · 12/02/2018 08:02

I was going to Mark Wahlberg in The Happening, but pps beat me to it. Dreadful film.

flumpybear · 12/02/2018 08:03

Anything with Kylie Minogue and Madonna

flumpybear · 12/02/2018 08:04

I love love love him but early keanu reeves things arent great - he's farrrrrrrr better now

headinhands · 12/02/2018 08:07

Is it Gregory Peck. The dad in the Omen? I saw it the other day and Christ. I always thought Peck was thought of as one of the best of his time. It ruined the film.

headinhands · 12/02/2018 08:09

And all child actors are beyond shit.

shakeyourcaboose · 12/02/2018 08:13

Another to say Andie McDowell in anything- I have to fast forward that bit in Groundhog day when she quotes Shakespeare. It's painful!

LikeTheShoes · 12/02/2018 08:22

Hands down favourite terrible Nic Cage moment (even better than the bees in The Wicker Man): when he spends a scene in National Treasure calling Sean Bean "Sean" rather than his character name and they just left it in the film! clearly it was the best take despite him getting one of the main character's name wrong!!

I love watching terrible Nicolas Cage movies, "Son of a Witch" is fabulous trash.

annandale · 12/02/2018 08:24

Handie McTowell was brilliant in sex lies and videotape playing an awkward, tense, wooden personality at odds with everyone else in the film. She did something extraordinary with that. I will also give her a tiny pass for Four weddings because I think Richard Curtis writes unsayable dialogue.

I also love Nicolas cage in Raising Arizona but it's still more a series of poses than acting.

Otherwise sorry keira but it's you. Maybe she's just in too many films. She clearly works extremely hard and takes direction but the results are just weird.

FancyNewBeesly · 12/02/2018 08:28

I think Hopkins is a shocking Hannibal, in all three films. Give me Mads or Cox any day.

halesie · 12/02/2018 08:35

Agree with so many PPs, esp Andie MacDowell and Keira Knightley. Elizabeth Hurley also needs to be on the list though thankfully she doesn't seem to have done much "acting".

LeonardoAcropolis · 12/02/2018 08:40

Kevin Costner in Robin Hood. That accent!

littlegecko · 12/02/2018 09:04

Lots of mine mentioned already - Anakin Skywalker, Nicholas Cage, the Potter Children.

Also:

Jason Statham (apart from Lockstock and The Bank Job). It's his voice, I can't work out his accent unless he's blatantly cockney.

Arnold Schwarzenegger (except for Terminator 1 and 2 where he really shines playing a robot)

Graphista · 12/02/2018 11:46

Halesie - Elizabeth Hurley is in one of my favourite films, but it's a favourite because it's SOOOOO bad it's fun Grin wonder if you can guess which one (or anyone else)

It also features an American actor who at the time people seemed to think was going to be very successful for a long time who's career has pretty much bombed I think!

This film has a particular well known VERY cheesy line in it.

windchimesabotage · 12/02/2018 11:48

Keanu Reeves in Dracula!! So sad because it could have been a wonderful film but he just makes it ridiculous!

windchimesabotage · 12/02/2018 11:49

Tom Cruise was great in interview with a vampire!! That role suited him more than anything else hes ever done

Graphista · 12/02/2018 11:52

I love Keanu but think he has been hopelessly miscast in a few films - Dracula is one, dangerous liaisons another.

But I loved him in parenthood, point break, devils advocate, bill & Ted, speed... Thought he did a great job in the gift too.

coldcanary · 12/02/2018 11:54

I’m convinced the acting in Star Wars 1,2 and 3 was deliberately awful in protest at the terrible script because apart from Natalie Portman there’s some pretty good actors in there!
NP is fairly consistent and reliably crap in every film she’s in - Black Swan was abysmal.
Nic Cage is almost heroic in his bad acting, that bee scene in the Wicker Man was breathtaking!

mumonashoestring · 12/02/2018 11:55

We watch a lot of really, spectacularly shite horror films so I generally find poor acting funny rather than annoying BUT when it's supposed to be a mainstream film with 'proper' actors:

Emma Watson's 'am I thinking or do I have indigestion' squint
Most of Orlando Bloom's early career stuff (which all boiled down to same character, different enemies)
Nicolas Cage and his mumbling
Tim Roth and his inability to close his mouth
Everyone - every single cast member - in the film version of 'Earthsea'. Shockingly bad film.
