St Elmo's Fire when Billy kisses an upside down Demi Moore and is playing a sax. Envy

When Ferris Bueller appears on the carnival float and starts singing Twist and Shout.

Samuel L Jackson shooting the boy in Pulp Fiction and saying 'I'm sorry, did that break your concentration?'

The scene where Scarlet O'Hara attends Ashley's party dressed in red.

PoisonPension · 28/03/2015 21:01

Scarlet O'Hara at the bbq with all the Men flocking around her.

Atonement, Dunkirk scene, it was filmed in our town, just done so beautifully.
Guardians of the galaxy, opening scene, the music and Starlord, I fell in love with him from that moment on!!
Harry Potter, when Harry meets Ron and Hermione.
Inglorious Bastards, the scene where Michael Fassbender's character is outed by the way he orders beers in the inn. Very intense!
Warhorse, most of it made me cry but the scenes with Joey running through no man's land to get away from the guns and Tom Hiddleston's face where he realises they are all pretty much doomed.
The Avengers, Loki confronts the Hulk and ends up smashed into the ground. Also absolutely love all the little snippets at the end of each Marvel film. Brilliant!

SylvaniansAtEase · 28/03/2015 21:10

Local Hero when he's in the phone booth trying to give a running commentary of the Northern Lights to the boss in the US.

godez · 28/03/2015 21:21

YY cp brilliant film. Love how, despite everything, Johnny lets him go.

basgetti · 28/03/2015 21:24

The Jazz Singer: Hello again playing as he goes back to find her on the beach with their baby.
Notebook: when they cuddle up on the bed for the last time.
Dirty Dancing: the last dance after "no one puts baby in the corner" "when I'm wrong I say I'm wrong".
Many scenes in Mary Poppins.

CambridgeBlue · 28/03/2015 21:42

Officer and a Gentleman when Richard Gere walks into the factory in full dress uniform and carries her out.

Springtulip · 28/03/2015 21:54

The scene in 'Singing in the Rain' with Gene Kelly where he sings and dances the title song..... Incredible to watch.

YolandiFuckinVisser · 28/03/2015 22:03

Harold & maud, when she takes him back to her railway carriage & gives him oat straw tea & plays cat stevens songs on the pretend piano.

Springtulip · 28/03/2015 22:03

This Good Fellas scene
Tommy: You mean, let me understand this, I'm a little fucked up, maybe. But, I'm funny, how? I mean, funny like I'm a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh. I'm here to fucking amuse you. What do you mean funny? Funny, how? How am I funny?
Henry: Come on, just, you know, how you tell a story

Vastra · 28/03/2015 22:05

The bit in love actually when Emma Thompson realises the gift is the cd rather than the necklace, makes me sad, but can't stop watching.
Mulan, the moment when she shoots the arrow from the top of the pole.

PoisonPension · 28/03/2015 22:05

Virtigo, in the Tower.

cathyandclaire · 28/03/2015 22:13

OK, disclaimer I've been watching crap films tonight and there are many worthier examples but the bit in The Wedding date where he nearly kisses her against the car is fab.
Agree Vastra with Emma Thomson crying in Love Actually.
Also love the 'we are going to spend an obscene amount of money in this store' bit in Pretty Woman.
Captain my Captain bit in Dead Poets' Society.

YonicScrewdriver · 28/03/2015 22:21

"Death by stereo" - The Lost Boys

GwendolynMoon · 28/03/2015 22:22

Yes yes to LOTR Battle of Helms Deep, love that. Also 'I am no man' in the last one. And so many in Last of the Mohicans, esp when the younger sister kills herself by jumping off the cliff.

Other favourites:

Neo and Trinity going in to rescue Morpheus, The Matrix.

Montage of Royal Tennenbaum out with his grandsons, The Royal Tennenbaums

Scene on the train when male lead is trying to raise female lead (can't remember their names!) blood pressure, Away We Go.

icelollycraving · 28/03/2015 22:24

Oh god yes, that Love Actually scene makes me cry every time.

NoMontagues · 28/03/2015 22:28

YY vestra and cathy especially when she gathers herself and smooths down the bed.

Cheesy but I love the lift scene in "Singles" with Matt Dillon and Bridget Fonda when she sneezes and he says "bless you".

susiedaisy · 28/03/2015 22:33

The scene in trainspotting when Spud is sharing a milkshake with Renton and then goes to his job interview.

PoisonPension · 28/03/2015 22:36

The Island, when they discover they are clones and see a fellow clone give birth.

OneFlewOverTheDodosNest · 28/03/2015 22:36

Oh the end of Pan's Labyrinth when the housekeeper sings her a lullaby Sad - also, the very disturbing part where the Capitan catches the guys who are poaching rabbits.
