I know it's been out for AGGGGGGGESS but I watched P.S. I Love You the other night with the luscious Gerard Butler in it...I lost my husband in 2013 and it just made me go all slushy inside...beautiful film.

Homeward bound - the incredible journey. I swear one day Shadow won't make it.

SandyMumsnet · 04/02/2016 12:13

Hi everyone,

We thought we'd sweep this little gem into films. Flowers

ClaudiaApfelstrudel · 07/02/2016 16:27

the older I get I just need to see a wedding or a romance blossom and the tears come pouring out... beforehand it was emotive films I think Schindler's List was one that I cried pretty much all the way through.

Titanic was also a guilty pleasure for balling my eyes out :D

kirinm · 07/02/2016 16:29

Marley & Me. Too many similarities with my own life and blubbed most of the way through.

Steel magnolias.

ilovecardigans · 10/02/2016 22:09

Letters from Iwo Jima. I have no words...

Untouchable - can't believe nobody's mentioned it yet! It made me and my husband cry, but in a good way. Remarkable and life affirming film.

Stepmom (Susan Sarandon, Julia Roberts)
First saw as an inflight movie, spent the rest of the flight (from Japan!) a blubbering wreck.

Provencalroseparadox · 12/02/2016 10:30

Out of Africa particularly 2 scenes: when Blix comes to tell Karen that Dennis is dead and the scene when Karen gets on her knees when she is about to leave Kenya. I properly sob

Kijaki a small budget film about a troop of guys out in Afgan..... I cried and cried

Lone survivor......especially watching the extra bits on the dvd from the men's families 😢😢😢

I cry at everything but films that have totally destroyed me are The Color Purple, In America and Gladiator, funnily enough. Oh, and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

rahlikeatiger · 13/02/2016 21:53

So many of these, going to have to have a weepy film fest soon! The first film I can remember watching that made me really cry was My Girl. I'm even tearing up slightly now. His glasses... That line! Love Beaches, Steel Magnolias, Life is Beautiful, Truly, Madly, Deeply. I live a good film squish! Awh what about Four Weddings? Or Sense and sensibility- both the part where they learn Edward is getting married - Eleanor where is your heart?! And the end. Oh. And lots more in between! X
