Biden has endorsed Harris to run for president. I don't believe she's very popular but it would be amazing to have a female president.

This is the second time he's said it. When challenged he blustered about Christians not voting. Yet a few months ago he talked of being a dictator on day one, he's a fan of Putin, Orban and Kim Jong un and he instigated an insurrection when he was voted out.

it was always obvious that he was trying to motivate "christians" to vote more and that they will not have to vote again because he will fix the country and everything will be beautiful or something. notion that he would be able to somehow transform USA to russia or china is absurd.and dangerous too.

He is being purposefully ambiguous. He was given the opportunity to clarify that what you say he meant was, in fact, what he meant - but he refused to do so.

Over 60% of Americans count themselves as Christians, I wasn't aware they didn't vote. So American voters are predominantly atheists and other religions?

Trump's refusal to accept the last election result and inciting people to storm the Capitol, plus his open admiration for authoritarian leaders, says otherwise. And I'm sure we've all heard of project 25.

It's a bit like how he refused to commit to a peaceful transition of power. He doesn't explicitly say there will be violence if he loses, but he deliberately introduces the prospect.

There has been a lot of chatter from the Republican side that they are going to end democracy. Just one example: at CPAC, Jack Posobeic (as one of the speakers) talked about how they nearly ended Democracy on Jan 6 and would succeed this time. He explicitly talked about how the Conservative movement were seeking to overthrow democracy (and replace it with what was implied to be Christian nationalism), to applause from the room. Trump is now purposefully alluding to that plan and, of course, he did try to subvert democracy in 2020.

Even if Kamala is all the terrible things the right say she is (she isnt); if she is elected and underperforms, she'd leave office when voted out. If Trump takes office again, there can be no guarantee that the US will continue to exist as a democracy - and he isnt even hiding it.

he didn't said they don't vote, he said they "don't vote well" meaning more of them should go out and vote. he's in a bit of trouble with hard core christians because he refuse to push for federal ban on abortion.
those other things you mentioned are irrelevant in this context because it was clear even first time that he didn't said what are you implying he is.
i've heard about project 25. don't have time right now to explore it but it's safe to say that all that noise about it is as exaggerated as all this nonsense about end of democracy if he is elected.

"It's safe to say that people's views about something I heard mentioned, but know absolutely nothing about, are bullshit."

“I said, ‘Vote for me, you’re not going to have to do it ever again.’ It’s true. Because we have to get the vote out. Christians are not known as a big voting group. They don’t vote. And I’m explaining that to ‘em. ‘You never vote. This time, vote. I’ll straighten out the country. You won’t have to vote anymore. I won’t need your vote.’”

He's not talking about 'hard core' Christians. He never once mentions hard core Christians. He says Christians are not known as a big voting group which obviously isn't true.

The reason his declarations twice were taken as authoritarian is because of his history and admiration for authoritarian leaders. Just because he excuses it as saying he's going to fix the country etc doesn't mean that's true. You're obviously unaware that he tells a lot of lies. However what we do know is that he doesn't respect democracy.

Harris says she is 'honored' after earning enough votes to win Democratic presidential nomination

Kamala Harris has won enough votes from Democratic delegates to win the party’s nomination for president.

The announcement was made by Jamie Harrison, the chair of the Democratic national committee, during a call with supporters.
The online voting process ends on Monday, but Harris has crossed the threshold to have the majority of delegates’ votes.

The vice president, in a Harris for President campaign call, said:

I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States.

Go Kamala!

It doesn't make any sense unless he meant dictatorship. People wouldn't stop voting because things were going well. They would vote to keep the people who are doing a good job in power. He has a history of refusing to cede power. He tried to stay on before by claiming the election was rigged, then when that didn't work and he was forced out, he egged on lunatics to storm the capitol.
He meant it just the way it sounds.
