Is Liz Fraser helping all women or just herself?

Liz Fraser boldly claims across all mediums that she aims to help all women live their best lives. However, there are suggestions, allegations, and evidence to the contrary.

What are your thoughts on the validity of her recent postings in the realm of domestic violence, parenting, mental health, neurodiversity, travel, running, holistic wellbeing and more, as a self-promoted "influencer"?

Keep your thoughts wholesome, relatable and current to her most recent postings. Do not mention ex-partners or her children by name. This discussion is to better understand the objective of and validity behind her “work” and words.

@Lucybee0Many folks who chimed in on the original article had similar thoughts. I can only imagine how tough it must be for those girls, feeling like they're always in the spotlight. A real feminist shouldn't get tangled up in competing or passing judgment based on appearances, but hey, a real feminist probably wouldn't write for the Daily Mail either 🤷‍♀️.

To give LF some credit, she hasn't really claimed to embody the essence of feminism or represent the whole movement, despite her temporary admiration for the great 20th-century feminist writers. Maybe this was because she was "gifted" a £10,000 first edition, like you are🙄.

@Verity44 I actually interpreted her 'don't shit on the other side/other people's street' as her playing the victim (as per), as though someone has done that to her, as she puts a rather bitchy kiss emoji after it. Preposterous, obviously, given the number of women she has shat on from a great height, as you say, without a shred of remorse. It's really quite astonishing -- it's ok for her to damage anyone she feels like harming, but woe betide anyone who hurts her.

and as others have said, no one would care what she posted if she didn’t tell us incessantly that it is all in the guise of helping other women. Her actions in the past, some of which cannot be discussed in detail here but are all in the public domain, have shattered the lives of a number other women and all the promises she makes (cures, sharing information, promoting women’s voices through her publishing company etc etc) all come to nothing. There’s no point telling people to be kind when you leave destruction in your own wake. That is not helping other women. The mental health stuff has been said more eloquently than I can elsewhere on this thread but the bottom line is no one should sell themselves as a Saint, a paragon of virtue and an inspiration to all women when they can’t even keep up with the stories they’ve been sharing to ‘inspire and help’ others - stories that don’t stack up and then get deleted or changed or written out of history accordingly. New jobs. New locations. New companies. New diagnoses that then vanish or become maybes. None of this is helpful.

@Lentilweaver because when you’re desperate or have been & you see someone struggling you help. I know now I’m a mug but at the time I followed her I was a user of Refuge & she was just appointed ambassador of National Centre for Domestic Violence & this is how I heard of her. Stupidly I thought she would have been checked out by the organisation but clearly she wasnt. So come at me all you like @Lentilweaverbut at the time I gave her money she said she was too poor to feed her children. Can I guess that you’ve never experienced this?

I think you are right and that is how we are being invited to interpret the comments but it's all part of her breath-taking lack of self-awareness that she doesn't relate it to herself at all.

As has been said by other contributors - has she just fallen for her own narrative (she has said it so many times) or is she aware that she is brazenly lying (for the likes/follows) and doesn't care? My jury is out 🤔

@Umbrellaisback I wonder how much she’s done for the BBC in the past 5 years. Women’s Hour, promoting the book. BBC Cambs and Oxon promoting the publishing company. This Morning was her main gig I think? As I posted on Ta tt le, BBC rates for her sort of work not hugely profitable. More a night in a Travelodge than Christmas in Turin!

@Cambridgebunz i know a few people who have been on woman’s Hour and none of them got paid. They did it to promote things they were working on

I've been on local radio loads! (nothing very exciting - promoting things and doing reviews and suchlike); never got paid a penny. Obviously professional radio types do, but 'bits and pieces work' tends not to be.
