What a strange response. I think fading movie star is a pretty fair assessment of where he is right now although that could change. I have no axe to grind - if I'm on anyone's side it's that of Johnny Depp's kids - can't imagine how humiliated they must be feeling.

Interesting to see which celebs liked AH and JDs post on verdict. I was surprised by Selma Blair(I actually liked her as actress in the few movies I seen-tho some if not most roles were really dreadful but that's usual for actresses, cannot be in a movie without getting sexualised and infantilised in some way)then again it makes sense as I recall there was an article few months back about her ex turning out as abuser too. Jason Momoa liked both of their posts. I hate that crap.

On what planet is his career not fading? I think he's an incredibly talented actor who made some really interesting independent movies before he hit the big time. He might even manage yet to get his career back on track but it seems bizarre to deny that it's stalled at best.

As for what my 'take' is - I haven't really got one. I'm not surprised the jury didn't find AH credible, but nor am I impressed by Depp. Like I say, if I have a soft spot for anyone, it's for Vanessa Paradis and their kids, maybe that's what you're finding confusing.

I never heard of Kate Nash(celeb that liked AH post verdict post)and clicked on her most popular song out of curiousity. Not to my taste but the lyrics are oddly fitting in this context

😟I like to make connections where I see them, I was interested who of her colleagues shown support. I know that I seen some celebs on Depps like list that I won't be listening to again(then again wasn't fan of any anyway but still got surprised a bit)

I have to say that I have thought the same as @Aspiringmatriarch - that you have your ex and your partner’s ex very muddled with Heard whom you have never met.

I’ve also never seen her be patronising. I think she’s been admirably patient and cool-headed.

I don't know why Heard would do this if he wasn't abusive
And I think his texts show he was but I didn't hear the evidence, the jury did

I'm not muddled of the effects of abuse though

I thought that was interesting.

It reminded me of the Bob Dylan lyrics “you just want to be on the side that’s winning”.

I also found the rogue juror’s comments interesting (assuming they’re authentic which is highly dubious) that they did think that Depp was abusive but that Heard was the instigator. I’m not sure if that implies she was responsible for his drug and alcohol problems too as that seems to be the trigger for his abusive behaviour.

The thing that sunk her according to juror x was the comment about the donation/pledge. (Despite the fact it was not germane to the central issue).

I’m not disputing that being less than fully honest doesn’t undermine your credibility in court, but it doesn’t seem to have affected Depp.

No I haven’t met her. I don’t claim to know what’s going based on 1 abuser or to have feelings in my water about anything.

As I haven’t discussed the effects of abuse, I’m not even sure what that comment relates to.
