Surely there is a big difference between -

(a) An adult choosing to do something in their own home, by themselves or with their partner

and

(b) A shop promoting that same thing in public for all to see, thus normalizing it.

If you can't see that difference then I am surprised.

yes and no.

If they're going to do it I'd rather they kept their tawdry custom to the sex shops rather than venturing into the school uniform shops themselves. If they want to buy them they will find a way.

I do see the point of the petition though.

I am so so heartened by this group- young women getting together to discuss issues which affect young women, and the fact they are requesting change through legislation is bloody brilliant!

I was going to say, having had this discussion with a man who had a school girl fantasy, that the nostalgia factor was the driver as @Ides said. He wasn't attracted to children, but he found the uniform on an adult sexual partner exciting because it took him right back to his first, extremely exciting, sexual experiences. Men leering at school girls is a completely different matter however and needs to stop.
