post about no school uniform to try and break the cycle is interesting. would be interested to know the effects of that in areas where it is used.

I doubt it would make much difference. The uniform is symbolic of an underaged girl, and would remain so. There are other costumes, I believe, which are no longer commonly worn but persist as symbols of subservience or whatever - 'French maid', 'slave girl'.

Not to mention it would rely on the government admitting they’re failing women and girls so badly that such a drastic step is required. Definitely don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Can you really not see the difference in a school girls uniform (underage, child) and a nurse/uniformed jib (adult) being used for sexual gratification? Seriously?

Whilst I'm not sure it's great to have some jobs over sexualised in this way, such as nurses, at least it's acknowledged that those women will be adults.

Not sexual gratification over impersonating girls, children.

The fault doesn't lie with schools. Schools have had uniforms for decades. The fault doesn't lie there. The fault lies with those who want to put a sexual spin on impersonating a girl wearing her school uniform - so this is what should stop.

it makes me sick to think a woman would be made more sexually attractive by wearing essentially a clothing item that a young child would wear in education.

its about time this petition got started so that young girls are not being targeted by sleazy, disgusting men with questionable and offensive fantasies.

I mean let’s all look at the famous and disgusting quote in interview with a journalist, singer R Kelly was asked if he liked teenage girls to unashamedly reply with “define teenager”.

i don’t think a formal uniform in education is the issue though, that isn’t sexualising young girls. The porn industry and adult marketing of what children wear to school is simply inappropriate.
