Quite separately, the existence of the 'managed zone' in Holbeck makes me sick to my stomach. Something very awry there in the attitudes to women and girls.

It doesn’t surprise me. I completely agree with PP. I was hoping with the Sun picking up on the managed zone in recent weeks there would be some outcry. Doesn’t seem to be the case though.

I think there’s been a definite attitude shift. Less describing it as ‘successful’ and more ‘controversial’, and local residents and women’s groups being very articulate & persuasive when quoted.

I am so surprised at this. This never happens. No one could have predicted this.

Wow. What a surprise. But surely this never happens? No other councillors have ever been found guilty of sexual offences whilst trying remove protections from women and girls have they? Especially not in the NE and campaigning for removing l of single sex toilets?

Is it strange how there seems to be so many cases like this?

One could almost think that political parties do not do their due diligence on prospective candidates, or maybe even turn a blind eye.

But that cannot be the situation. Surely, everyone in public office adheres to the Nolan Principles.

They may well spend years doing that, but they absolutely would not go to the trouble of saying ‘I identify as a women’ in order to gain access to vulnerable women and girls. Of course they wouldn’t. Much to much effort.

I am unsurprised that I feel no surprise.

Leeds is a mess. Labour needs to investigate wtf is going on with the council.

I'm sure the Labour leadership will expel, loudly condemn and distance themselves from this guy, just as they did with Ron Spackman and Eric Joyce.

Does anyone have east access to the picture info-gram that shows around 8 men who have put themselves in positions of power and have subsequently been charged with/found guilty of rape, child rape, torture etc

ie Councillors, Green Party leaders and Scottish leaders/Councillors?

I believe he and his wife (who is also a labour councillor in Leeds) had some issues with the tax man previously & that the council tried avoid the names of the councillors involved being revealed.

@HecatesCatsInXmasHats yes they were one of about five or six Labour councillors who hadn’t been paying their council tax, then tried to cover it up.

Both big supporters of the managed zone. Another surprise. Oh wait...
