cos I am in that at the moment, cannot get past it, and DH is telling me that he wants me non-grumpy or he might leave.

he doesn;t mean it really, I know that in me head, but my heart took a battering, and right now with all the fucking crap I am struggling with trying to get a DX for DD3, plus the issues with DS2, and all the other crap going on right now, my head seems to be stuck in grump-phase rather than coping phase, and I am not liking me that much.

have no fear, I am ok on the cleaning army front...............I am good at cleaning, tis the kids and DH keeping the place clean afterwards that is the major problem I have!

plus, tis no point at the mo anyway, seeing as DH is planning on knocking walls down and building new ones very soon (alto watch out for the ranting threads then!!).

I started a course in september that ran for 12weeks, was free and had a free creche. I made friends there and learnt a new skill, but most importantly i was me again, if only for 2hrs a week i was Christie and not Mummy and that felt great. I love being mummy but like any job you need time off and being a sahm you don't get any. Why not look into something like that?

psychomum5 · 27/04/2009 21:12

alicerail, I will ponder that, thankyou. maybe something starting in september at the local college might help me.............I want to add to my childcare qualifications with learning sign language, something I have thought about for a loooooooong time, so maybe now is the time.....

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 27/04/2009 21:59

Sign language sounds like a good one - you can teach it to DH and talk about the children when they are there - or you could show it to the children and encourage them to play at sign language (a very lovely quiet game! ).

psychomum5 · 27/04/2009 22:08

actually, me thinks I might keep it to myself, and then learn to swear about everyone in a nice quiet way, and infuriating way for them as they won;t know what I mean.

a little lie the elbow-knocking swearing that ross does on friends

Morning.

FabulousBakerGirl · 28/04/2009 11:54

Choc on its way.

Shop rubbish so best I could do.

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 12:02

aww, thankyou soooooo much bakergirl

morning trillian

have been for my 'fasting' blood test. that was not to bad in itself, but the children seemed to have saved up a particularly bouncy morning for the one morning I had to go without my usual morning cup of coffee.

took myself off for coffee at waterstones after, and a browse of the books........me-time much needed.

also have just been to collect DD3's antibiotics she is now on long-term.........luckily my doc was lovely and prescribed one month worth at a time. I have to make it up myself, but hey, tis better than a weekly jaunt to the docs!

treedelivery · 28/04/2009 13:18

Well done on getting to the book shop and having an hour out. It's not easy is it. Hope the fasting blood result is what you want it to be.

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 13:22

me too tree!

TBH, they are only doing it as when I went into anaphylaxis a few weeks back my glucose levels were high and calcium were low, but I think (and hope), that they were screwy because of the allergic reaction, not because there are other issues going on (IYGWIM).

that said, bearing in mind my dairy allergy, I would not be surprised if the calcium test was out.........altho what that might mean and what they will do I have no idea??

that all said, it might explain some of why I have not been 100% well since xmas. I seem to get everything going at the moment, and feel pretty shite health-wise most of the time..................answers would certainly be welcome!

Well done on boook-browsing time, did you get anything?

Good luck for tests achieving some useful dianosisyness.

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 15:03

I got this

I had a book voucher given to me for easter, plus the PIL's gave me £5 towards a book too, so used them today

I sat in the coffee shop for over an hour reading it......tis a very full-on start, and is great so far.

of course, it is aimed at teens, which is great for my current brian power........have just done the Harry Potter set again and also Twilight, so in major teen-dom right now (not sure if I should be or about that tho TBH??)

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 15:05

ooh just out of interest while I have you, what do you want me to do with the books you sent me?? You said to pass onto flame, but she is not in decent reading mode right now........do you want me to hang on to them until she is?? (assuming both are ok to pass on to her when she is able to of course).

oh, and are the other phillipa gregory books any good?? I keep picking them up and then putting them down again unsure. I think it is because of my mood at the mo, but when it lifts again, am pondering buying them..........are they worth it??

OP posts:
treedelivery · 28/04/2009 15:06

Ooo I read the Susan Cooper triology when my head melts. The Greenwitch and all that stuff. Soooooo relaxing.

TrillianAstra · 28/04/2009 15:10

The books I sent you that are not part of the circle thingy? Um, do what you like with them really. Keep them, or give them to someone who is in need of bookage. If I had wanted them back I would have made it very very clear in the beginning.

Which PG did I send to you? I have a few more than I could pass on. Some are better than others. I hope I sent you a good one.

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 15:17

not heard of susan cooper tree, what type of writer is she (ie, crime/thriller/drama??).

trillian, the books were 'the thirteenth tale' (wow, fab book, and what an ending), and 'the queens fool' (also good).

OP posts:
treedelivery · 28/04/2009 15:20

here

I think they are aimed at pre-teens

TrillianAstra · 28/04/2009 15:24

The Queen's Fool was one fo the better Philippa Gregory ones, definitely. If you can get hold of The Constant Princess (which I don't have) that's the one I enjoyed the most. It's about Catherine of Aragon, from the very early days right through, and I found it interesting because fo the cultural differences between Spain and England at the time and also because in stories of Henry VIII they often skip right past her to get to the juicy stuff with Anne Boleyn.

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 15:25

I really don;t care if they are aimed at pre-teens..............HP was in the beginning and I love that set

thankyou for the link, I will hunt them down when I next have some book money

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 15:28

in fact just found 'the dark is rising' sequence (all 5 books) for less than £10 on amazon uk.

me thinks fluttering eyes at DH might be in order

TrillianAstra · 28/04/2009 15:30

I've just been home to visit parents this weekend and have walked off with a selection of random books that Mum bought in Tesco and has read (she's not into keeping books).

psychomum5 · 28/04/2009 17:50

ooh you lucky mare

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 28/04/2009 18:30

Yep. If you're good I might send you some once I've read them
