2025/26 SAD thread

It’s 1st September tomorrow so we’re back for another year’s SAD thread.

Welcome all old and new who struggles in the cold and dark months for advice and general moaning!

The only rule is no talk of snuggling under blankets, crunching in leaves (which will realistically be a soggy wet mulch, or pumpkin spiced anything!

Advice from previous years’ threads:

A SAD lamp can help as can a daylight alarm clock.
Try to get outdoors when the weather/ light allows it.
Try to keep up with your exercise routine or start a new one!
Remember to take your vitamin D and multi vitamins.
Try to have something to look forward to.

This weather is seriously depressing.

Please bring back summer. I love the heat.

It's horrible!

😡😩 the weather is absolutely hideous! It's dark, cold and rainy😰 aaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhh! It's completely sapping my soul.

Yup it’s fricking June. I thought to myself today that I shouldn’t have to wear a coat in May and then I realised it’s June ffs😡.

We had a hail storm today, WTF 😡😡.

We've got sun 🌞 so good and such a mood booster. I hope you all have sun too. Long may it last 🤞

I love this weather. Absolutely love it.

The blue, bright sky, the heat, knowing that I can wear my lovely summer clothes.....and I finished work early so I'm in a shady bit of the garden with a Pimms. Bliss!😊

I love it too. The heat hss been a bit too intense at times but I absolutely love the bright sunny days.

I'd happily switch the sun off, this is horrendous

If you see me on here in the winter, remind me what June and July have been like. Although I don't think I'm likely to forget.

edit - maybe we need a thread for people who need the temperature between 10 and 25 and can't manage outside of those numbers... this will strongly relate to your living and working environment I expect.

wrt hypomania I would be very happy if sun was down by eight. Actually winter in LA it's down by about 630 and that is exactly right.

This weather is wonderful! My spirits are high and I feel so good both mentally and physically. I hope you are all feeling the benefit too 😀

this has been the longest most horrendous summer ever, and it's not even slightly over.

I'm looking forward to winter! That's never happened in my whole life, but I'm worried now that we'll get massive dumps of snow
